I did not have much luck tumbling this fire agate in a Lortone Tumbler. The larger pieces broke down into smaller ones and after four weeks, most of the rocks were only half shiny, while the rest of it was dull and rough. See photo for best description. I will not buy this again, it was a wate of time and money.

I use the finished stones in jewelry making.

These were very rough stones and did not smooth down enough even after 3 runs through the course grit to move them further along in the tumbling/polishing process. The smaller stones in the package wore away to tiny pieces without becoming smooth enough to take up the next step. The 3 larger stones are so irregular they aren’t even close to the polishing process. I’m giving these stones a 4th round of course grit and may attempt to polish them with the rougher edges rather than trying to smooth them down. There are some interesting characteristics in the stones so I’m still holding out hope on the 3 I have left and will update my review once I finish with them and add pics.
