The Art of Luca

I got this book as a gift for a friend and i didn’t expect it to be such good quality and nice. The book is truly amazing, i love pixar and luca is my favorite pixar movie, and this book truly made me and the person k for it for jump with joy. The book feels really nice and the cover is gorgeous, high quality, and sturdy. The pages are all so nice and beautiful

Bought this a few weeks back because I’ve been obsessed with this movie for years. It was fascinating to see the process of making this beautiful film! Definitely recommend if you’re into Pixar.

Just a quick flip through and I know I'm going to love this book as I loved the movie :) As to what another comment said - I'm a member of the LGBT community and I feel that now more than ever we should celebrate stories of different people coming together, even if that "representation" doesn't look how you think it should. The movie features one protagonist with amicably divorced parents who have split custody, a disabled father who is a respected member of the community, and another protag who's parental neglect/abuse was something the movie faced head on. I suppose it depends on what kind of "representation" you believe the world needs, but I appreciate what Luca brought to the stage and how much it could mean to those who needed a film like it.

Perfect for a gift. Would purchase again

Inspiring visuals that make you want to rush and play with refreshing tones and watercolour or jump in the sea and go in an adventure yourself, or both! Has a bit of everything, gorgeous landscapes, concept art, sets, props, character expression and action sheets, location reference photos, and even the odd meme! I’d been freaking out because it seemed to be out of stock everywhere for a good while, but thankfully was able to get a hold of it here, and it actually arrived ahead of schedule! Very happy with it!

GUYS! If you are a Luca fan get this book now! The art is beautiful and the stories are even more beautiful! Worth the money!!!

Absolutely love the movie and the art book'

Any Luca fan would love this book. It’s so interesting seeing where the movie started and how it evolved to what we know it to be, along with reading the about thought process of the artists with their choices.

Best

I love Luca this book is great

One of the best ‘art of’ books I own. Beautiful images and interesting director notes. Delivered quickly and looks amazing. Really recommend getting if you enjoyed the film as much as I did!

Envoyé avec soin, bien protégé, donc arrivé intact, ce qui est rare. Beau livre, en anglais, très intéressant et riche en détails, très bien pour ceux qui ont aimé le film ou qui apprécient l'univers Disney/Pixar de manière générale.

I enjoyed the film and this art book provides a great representation of the pre design of this production - very happy, go Pixar!
