Destined to be an Industry MUST READ. No hyperbole.
As a fellow fitness professional, and DC area resident, Ive had the good fortune of running into Kevin at various conferences and getting to know him a bit. That said, I would speak just as favorably about this book, regardless. Knowing him as the professional he is, I expected his book to be a solid effort. 'Day By Day' as it turns out was well beyond what I'd expected. There is so much wisdom, so much extremely useful information, not just as it relates to being an outstanding trainer, but also for growing as a person, beyond the gym. Such diverse, substantive advice for trainers at any stage of their career. I just imagine (and lament) where I might be in my own journey had I had such a profound, powerful resource early in my journey. THIS book should be required reading for anyone hoping to make a career out of personal training. Each day's entry is a gem-- whether its an insight, a knowledge bomb or an inspiring word. I can see this book becoming a textbook for related college courses and certification courses. It is worthy of becoming a staple in any circumstance/ setting where the priority is to offer the best to fitness professionals in their development, to further improve the level of professionalism across an industry that both needs and deserves it. Kevin, Ya done good, kid. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BOOK. Can't do so highly enough!

A MUST READ FOR PERSONAL TRAINERS
This is a cleverly written and we'll structured book that will give any trainer the tips, know-how and motivation to progress their business.I would highly recommend this to any new or current trainers looking to move forward.A must read! 5 Stars every time.

a thought a day keeps the brain awake
Working as a full-time trainer, my reading list only seems to get bigger as I try to stay up-to-date with the latest research, trends, and educate myself so I can be the most knowledgeable coach for my clients. The day-by-day structure of this book keeps life interesting and reading only a page a day (or a few pages every few days to catch up if I'm behind) makes things manageable. Not everything in the book is brand new or things I haven't considered, but some things are, and Kevin's perspective on certain topics makes me think about something in a new way, which is always appreciated. I find it's also a good source of inspiration by giving me a focus on those days where I really have to psych myself up to be "on" for my clients.

A valuable investment
For anybody in the fitness industry, or even thinking seriously about entering it, this book by Kevin Mullins will quickly become a "must-have" resource. There are many fitness certifications around the world that teach you about training, physiology, anatomy, etc, but little attention is paid usually to the "how to" of building a successful career. Thanks to Kevin, this void is now being filled.The book is set out in an easily digestible format, written in plain English, with gold nugget after gold nugget of useful tips from a veteran trainer. The kind of stuff you can easily incorporate into your daily business, I for one, will be revisiting this book regularly to keep an edge on the competition.

Everyone needs this book
Full disclosure: I’m the graphic designer for this book.With that being said, I have known Kevin for almost 10 years and was a client of his at the beginning of his career.While working on this book, I was able to read every page of it before even the proof was ordered. I knew I was looking at pure gold.Personally, reading this book got me back into the gym after quite a hiatus.It is motovatiinal and educational.Kevin has learned from the best and has become one of them.
