Arm & Hammer Essentials Deodorant with Natural Deodorizers

I’ve been using the Arm & Hammer unscented deodorant for a few weeks now, mainly because I wanted something without a strong fragrance that wouldn’t clash with perfume or body wash. I apply it once in the morning after showering and use it for everyday activities like work, errands, and light exercise. What I like: It goes on smooth and doesn’t have any noticeable scent, which is exactly what I wanted. It also doesn’t leave a sticky feeling or heavy residue under the arms. For normal, low-sweat days, it keeps odor under control fairly well. What I don’t like: On hotter days or when I’m more active, I notice I need to reapply or it doesn’t last the full day. It’s more of a light daily deodorant than a strong all-day protection option. It also isn’t as strong as some antiperspirants if you sweat a lot. Overall: This is a solid option if you want something simple, affordable, and unscented. It works best for light to moderate use, but I wouldn’t rely on it for heavy workouts or all-day outdoor activity. I would repurchase it for everyday use, but not as my only deodorant for intense days.

This is a good product for those who want a natural deodorant that contains no aluminum or harmful chemicals. I have been using the toxic kind of deodorant most of my life until I read an article on a study that stated that deodorants with aluminum (and other chemicals) can build up over time in your body and cause cancer. That is when I started my search for a deodorant that does not contain harmful chemicals, and I found this. The only downside is that it seems to run out faster than the other deodorants. The unscented and scented versions work very well.

I've used this for decades and absolutely love it. Why? 1) The baking soda is incredibly effective at preventing and eliminating odors. I have a cabin with no shower available. While I can swim to refresh, I don't have an easy way to use soap. Sometimes I'll start getting stinky, but as soon as I put this stuff on, I'm don't stink at all! And yes, I've had family members confirm this... Even when I'm at home, if I get a little "nervous sweat" smelly for some reason, a quick refresher swipe of this deodorant and I'm good for the rest of the day. 2) It's actually unscented, so I'm not overwhelmed by the odor and not triggering allergic reactions in those with sensitivities. Plus, then I don't attract biting bugs while at my cabin (they tend to like scented care products) 3) Best of all, it's just a deodorant, not an antiperspirant! It can be difficult to find a women's deodorant that doesn't have antiperspirant and the unhealthy aluminum those typically contain. Before I found this stuff, I was actually borrowing my husband's men's deodorant, but the smell was so musky, it felt weird wearing it. I've tried all the other non-antiperspirant products like the crystals, "natural" deodorants, etc. but I get really smelly with all of them. This is the only non-antiperspirant product I've ever found that truly eliminates odors.
