I've been waiting for something as simple and easy as this ever since I've had a water softener, so 15+ years. It's really easy to use, doesn't need batteries and this batch will likely last longer than I will. Great value too.

Brilliant spot on easy to use

Bought these to test our water after our household water softener seemed to stop working. We weren’t sure whether the softener had stopped working as the water started to feel hard to us and scum seemed to build up on shower screens. Did multiple tests with these strips and each time hardness level showed up as ‘soft’. Had the softener device engineer out and our machine is completely dead and needs replacing. His test kit revealed our water is hard so while easy to use, these strips don’t work. Waste of money

Easy to use and results are easy to understand. Shelf life is short though for at home testing.

According to my water supplier we have very hard water. These strips show not higher than 1.5gpg which is soft. Wrong and useless.

I used it to test my tap water and the colour didn’t change much. Then I tried it with filtered water with the same result. To test the colour level I tried it with salt water but the colour didn’t change much. I tried strips from all packets. Maybe it was a defective batch.

We live in the Thames. Valley very hard water you can hardly tell the difference waste of time and moneyWill stick to Palin yes/no tablets
