Tripp Lite 5.8kW Single-Phase 208/240V ATS/Monitored PDU with LX Platform Interface, L6-30R Outlet, 2 L6-30P Inputs, 1U Rack-Mount (PDUMNH30HVAT)

I’m not sure what’s up with some of the negative feedback on these units. Per the NEC, you can’t place a continuous load (defined as 3 or more hours of operation) on an over current protection device. The 24A max loading on these devices is there to protect would-be home electricians from violating the 80% loading rule, which = 24A on a 30A circuit. I’m not a licensed electrician, but worked for one for many years. If you’re loading an OCPD to 100%, both the wire and breaker are going to get hot- eventually leading to a trip condition. These protections are there to keep you from burning a house down. If you actually need a full continuous 30A, you either need two circuits- or a sub-panel. There are *very few* exceptions to this guidance, and almost nobody meets them (they also require a breaker rated for continuous load). The hardware works fine and does exactly as it’s supposed to do. Happy, and safe customer.

The boxes seemed a bit beat up but thankfully the PDU's were okay and have been functioning since last month. My PDU's are being used to power up mining rig with server PSU's. Since I'm only using C13 connectors, I mounted them as pictured. A much better solution than powering the previous ATX PSU's with 120V.

i was so happy i was able to get this for such a good price!!! i bought it used from a 3rd party went great! item came box was in bad shape but the item is in EXCELLENT condition and works fine looks like new to me, very happy with it

Tripp Lite PDU1230 PDU Power Distribution Unit 1U 20 Outlets 208/240V 30 Amp We purchased 2 of these units to replace our older Tripp Lite PDU1230's that had 2 C19 receptacles vs. the 4 that the current units have (the new units also have 4 extra c13 receptacles).These are quality units through and through. We'll purchase these again and again as we need them.We do have one desired change. With our rack configuration it would be nicer if the cables were detachable and replaceable with shorter cables. We currently have the cables bundled up as they come in the box to avoid tangling in the bottom of our rack.

Great performance and the right price point. I have this and the metered version 30A and I actually prefer this unit. I like the 20A breakers as well as the much smaller size (the metered 30A is almost long enough to be obnoxious).

A game changer. I recently upgraded my outlets to 240v and purchased this to accommodate 4 L3+ and one Mini-Doge. The indicator screens are nice and bright and can see at how much amps im pulling from the wall from across the garage. Looks nice in a rack mount case.

Out of box only one bank works. Bank one breaker does not stay on. Returning.Update-contacted support and they are shipping me a new pdu. Good service.Maybe not. Saying the are not in-stock for 6 months… now. Back one star
