Rainbow Fish Discovers the Deep Sea

This probably isn't my favorite Rainbow Fish book, but it probably is the one with the most colorful and interesting illustrations.The moral of this story is about not being scared of people (fish) from other places who look different than you. The Rainbow Fish discovers that, while there is some danger in the deep ocean, most of the odd-looking creatures there are kind and helpful. I'm not sure if that's really true of the creatures of the deep sea, but it's probably good to teach kids not to judge a book by its cover and fear everyone who looks different.

Bought this book before my kid saw the show with family, and he loved it.

I thought I purchased new but it was used/good which is fine but, the cover is ripped and so is a page:(

The pictures are so vivid! My kindergarteners were hooked, and they all wanted to touch the pages. Very happy with this purchase.

Ive read a few of the Rainbow fish books to my daughter, but the original and this one are her favorites! Meeting lots of new friends some helpful, some not...and the shiny illustrations...a great bedtime book for any child! My 3 1/2 year old loves it...we checked it out at the library at least 4 times before i finally broke down and bought it :)

Great story with beautiful pictures and a wonderful addition to the Rainbow Fish collection. As an educator I love that this story covers the deep sea life in a fun and simple way that is easy and entertaining for young children. The lesson that different doesn't always mean scary is also very valuable.

This is one of my daughter's favorite authors. She's only 2 and loves the story and pictures of the rainbow fish bc he sparkles. I highly recommend.

A great book that shows children that just because someone looks different doesn't mean they are any different inside.

Another good story about the ever popular rainbowfish. The children I work with loved this other story and were excited about all the other sea creatures he came upon. I espcially liked the shinny bits in the book. This book evoked lost of language and of course shiny and glittery pictures followed.

Wa disappointed when received as advised book was in "very good" condition but on arrival nearly every page had a tear in it! If I wasn't for price I would of returned!!! In terms of the book thou my son loved it.

Rainbow Fish is delightful. My grandchildren love him.

In my experience, children like the Rainbow Fish series and even very young children appreciate the pictures. They seem to like this one most.

Beautiful books with lovely illustration and the story line is just wonderful they are my 'special' books for my son.
