This small tubing/pipe cutter is great for small spaces and also cuts quickly and simply. Just follow the direction arrow for correct cutting direction.

I got this tool because I knew I was going to be cutting some copper pipe in tight spaces. At first I thought it wasn't going to work well because it was pretty hard to turn. But when it cut the 1/2 inch pipe in three turns, I was pretty surprised. So yeah, it was harder to turn, but I only had to turn it three times and I was done. Love it!

Good low-profile cutter that can get into spaces that others can't.

Ordered this to repair a copper pipe that had started leaking at an elbow below the ceiling in my basement. The part of the pipe I needed a straight cut on was up inside a wall. Tried a couple of different tools from the local hardware store but they had to be tightened by a wheel after you got them on the pipe. Not enough room to work with in this case. So I ordered this one and it made the whole thing a snap. Put it on the pipe and turned it a few times. The cut off part dropped down out of the hole and left a very straight edge with very little burring. Snapped on a sharkbite fitting it it was done!

I am a DIY warrior, so I am not a licensed plumber by trade. Cutting copper pipe has always been my Achilles heel. It's a 50/50 chance on whether the standard adjustable pipe cutters will start to thread themselves down the pipe. This just slips on, I rotate, and the pipe cuts after a few rotations. You need to have one for every size pipe, unlike the adjustable ones, but I'm more than happy to have different size cutters since these work so well.

Still has the Lowe's price tag on the already opened package. The cutter fell out of the package when I pulled it out of the paper shipping bag. The blade appeared unused and worked correctly when I made a test cut so I will probably keep it since I need it.

Right equipment for the right price. Easy to use and does the job in tight places.

Not good for older 1/2" pipe, those pipes were made with thicker walls. This cutter penetrated only half way. Much better in this care to get the adjustable cutters, pay the extra $20. Because maybe your building or home is 20+ years old, or let's say you purchase copper piping and who knows, the manufacturer tolerences are a tiny bit different than you expect...(always!). Otherwise, nice and compact and should work on home depot quality copper tap water pipes.

I did not see that if was also sold at Home depot before ordering from Amazon.Could of bought the same thing from Home depot at a cheaper price otherwise it works with no problems.

This works much better than the Husky one that I previously had from HomeDepot. Feels more solid, and just tight enough to cut easily.

If you just need something simple for your home DIY project like upgrading your kitchen sink, this is perfect. Simple and effective to use. Inserted the copper tube rotated twice and the cut is perfectly clean
