How to Play Bass Guitar in 14 Days: Daily Bass Lessons for Beginners (Play Music in 14 Days)

I am currently working my way through 'Learn to Play the Bass Guitar in 14 days' and I'm hooked. I love rock music and blues and this is a great starting point for a non-instrument player like me. Very easy to follow finger style tabs and all the tracks are there to listen to as well. I have mine downloaded on my phone. Each day's lesson is 90mins, but I have been taking it a bit slower than that, doing about an hour a day, but I'm really enjoying it. I've only had the book for a week and I can hear I'm improving every day - now starting on lesson 5. I hope this helps you to make your decision.

I had never picked up a bass guitar before and thought it was a bit daunting but, having trawled round the internet looking at various websites, I decided I needed a set of written lessons. I looked through all the various Learn The Bass books and settled on this book as it had online lessons as well as all the information I needed to get started playing almost immediately. It even has downloadable backing tracks to play along with. I am not yet proficient but, two weeks on, I have a good grounding and understanding of bass playing. Look no further if you need a course to learn the electric bass guitar.

Great book for the beginners, easy to follow and made Even easier by the files available to download, great for reference. I halfway through the book and very happy with my progress, would definitely recommend to beginners.

This book has the title that you will be playing in 14 days but unfortunately you won’t, to me this book is not set out for those who are completely new to playing the bass guitar, to me it seems as though it’s been written for those who have some experience and knowledge of music theory already so I wouldn’t recommend this book to those who are totally new to playing the bass. In this book there are no clear concise diagrams or guidance for a complete novice, this book expects you to know your fretboard well already and to have some skill in your fingering and fret walking already. There are some fantastic books out there but this is not one of them I’m afraid.

Cool book and price. Downloads for exercises are really good and eases you into learning. They’re great at responding to questions about exercises by email also. Recommended.
