For the first test...there was a broken water pipe somewhere along the way to my house, because I had some brown stuff coming out of my faucet and sediment stuck in the screen. So I brought this for peace of mind. I tested my tap water and place the vial top rear of the refrigerator where the temperature is hovers around 78 degrees F. Three days later...nothing, still yellow. Not knowing whether the test truly worked or not, I swabbed pink slime (search engine said they're Serratia marcescens and Aureobasidium pullulans bacteria) and swabbed black slime (definitely bacteria) from the drain. Then I swirl them in the vial. Two days later, the vial turned green. This product works.For the second test, I used water from my reverse osmosis filter. Supposedly, if you don't change the filter every six month, bacteria can build up and live in the storage tank and line. Well, time flew by, and it's already been two years since I changed the filter. Thought it was only last year when I changed the filter. Anyhow the test result was yellow, no bacteria. I thought maybe there were too little bacteria, and the vial needs more time. Four days later, still yellow. Ok, now I added a swirl of that black slime. Two and half days later...green.

I live in the country and found bacteria in the water . I had called the support team and they was very helpful solving the problem . I ended up buying more test kits for future test . It's a worth buying product for a few dollars . I had first did one for $180.00 from a lab that given me the same results
