Even though they were the cheapest, they’re actually super comfy. And my kayak is still hanging from them on my rafters.

When I bought my wifes kayak and one of the handles was missing. She looked online at the website for the pelican kayaks and found them here in Amazon. She ordered them just a couple days ago and she got them in today. They are the perfect replacement and likes them better than the ones that originally came with it.

The rope for the handles are a little short. Other than that I've only taken my kayak out a couple of times since I bought these.

Got these to replace the handles on my wife's Pelican kayak. No complaints whatsoever. The cord and plastic are good quality.

Front plate pops off with the slightest pressure.

They came quickly and are nice looking. Appears to fit the hole forward and aft in the kayak. Seem strong enough and are very comfortable in carry mode. Very pleased.

For those of you wondering if the ropes are long enough to do this - they are, easily. Pretty much the only thing I was worried about and I couldn’t find it on any of these listings. You don’t have to use cleats or install the cleats to make it work if your kayaks look like mine.

I could find no faults with these handles. The rope included was plenty long enough to go through about 4-5” bow and stern and still have plenty left over to make a good knot and put the cover back on and it was all VERY easy. It does come with the hardware for a surface mount as well. They are a nice size and comfortable and attractive enough. Reasonably priced in my opinion. I recommend these handles.

Picture it: a beautiful day, perfectly calm lake, a loon breaks the silence with his haunting cry. Kayak cutting through the water effortlessly. I am one with nature. I am nature.My time cut short due to damnable adulting that must be done, I glide up to the dock. As I reach down to gracefully manoeuvre my kayak out of the water, I feel something unusual. As I lift effortlessly (as I am very strong), the handle breaks and the boat splashes down in the water, causing that same water to moisten my shorts and shirt. The handle in my hand, now separate from my craft, I mutter an expletive. I scramble to grasp the remaining handle, lest my vessel float away into the lake, beyond my grasp.I, like a hero from a tale told to children, manage to secure my watercraft. But the damage is done. An ugly, dark mark on a day that started so majestically. An ugly, dark mark upon my very soul.So I ordered this one and it all good now.
