HQBeach and Fun Sport Kite (Calypso II Rainbow)

I'm a beginner to kites in general. I really liked how easy this kite was to set up and figure out. It's a lot like a tent. The instructions were clear and actually helpful beyond just the small bit of assembly, had a great diagram showing exactly the method to use to fly it. This kite seems to require a lot of steady wind in order to work well. My girlfriend was flying a normal style kite at the same time as I was attempting this one on a gusty day and hers was sky high with no trouble but I couldn't get mine to stay going for too long. The first day I tried it was much steadier wind and it worked like a charm. All in all a very nice kite especially how cheap it was. Can't wait to learn about more kites!

Excellent product. I wish the cords were longer though. Very fun if you take it to the beach. Takes a while to get a hang of it but once you do it's all fun

I was trying to recreate an experience I had with a quite when I was a kid. This is ok, but quite small and tricky to fly. Needs a solid wind to get it going.

This kite is the most fun...and yes it's a bit hard connecting the bars (per instructions), but once set it was fun to use at the beach.

I wasn't aware this kite had 2 leads when I ordered it. But I was open to figuring out how to fly it even if it was harder than others. I then had trouble figuring out how to assemble it. As one other reviewer stated, the directions are not very good. In fact, the kite illustrations in them do not match the actual kite. I tried 3 different days to fly it, and each time I got it off the ground, it immediately did a nose dive and crashed. I wanted an "easy" kite, which was the only kind I previously knew even existed!

I like the idea of this kite but were not smart enough to fly it. I wish it came with much better instructions, I had to guess on how to put it together and once i got that done we could not get it to go up in the air. It should be rated expert. On the up side the service getting it here was great.

I bought this as a precursor to a holiday down in Devon and was really pleased with it. It is a typical stunt kite so quite difficult to fly unless there is plenty of wind (not really a problem in Devon). It is very sensitive to pulls on the string but I would say this is a good thing and the string itselt is generous and gives you 40m i would estimate. The actual structure of the kite and the integrity is exceptionally good and it all folds down into a neat carry case that fits nicely in the boot of the car. There is also a tail with the kite which is 4m long and adds nice colour to the main kite and flutters nicely in the breeze which my son absolutely loves. There is something fantastically simple and yet enjoyable about flying a kite and its a great kids toy as it gets them out of the house, enjoying the fresh air but doesn't necessarily mean you need a lovely hot sunny day to enjoy being outside!The third party seller was really quick and efficient in despatching this product and I would highly recommend them!

Very easy and fun to fly - my 10yo was best at controlling it, able to make it swoop and loop alarmingly! Only problem is that the instructions are worse than useless - they seem to refer to a completely different model, talking about parts that do not exist! However, by looking at the tiny picture on the packet I realised how to construct it, which (once you know) was then very easy. An excellent buy for a beginner like us.

Well... like the other reviewers have stated, the instructions for this kite ARE NOT WITH THIS KITE!!!!!!!!!!!!! Amazon please listen to your customers!!!! Whoever is responsible for making sure that this kite goes out to the customer with the correct instructions....PLEASE DO YOUR JOB!!!! This is the first time that my daughter and I ever flew a kite such as this one so we had no idea how it should be done and without the proper instructions it was trial and error. However, we did eventually figure it out (with some help from the little picture!) and the kite flew beautifully! It was a challenge and what great fun we had flying it!!!! My daughter loves her kite! This kite is strong and well made and should hopefully last us a while!

Instructions didnt help much but picture did. Not as easy to fly as a single string kite I already have but maybe thats me having bad skills or putting it together wrong! I would have liked more control line length as hoped for double what was provided and I think getting more height would make flying it easier and a lot more fun. Not bad for the money but a bit disappointed really.

This was a hit. Went out on a windy day with no expectations really and this kite flew brilliantly. We had to manually wind it in in the end. Nicely manoeuvrable. Only small criticism is the length of string. We had it wound out fully and would have liked twice the length easily.
