The Quick and Easy College Cookbook: 300 Healthy, Low-Cost Meals that Fit Your Budget and Schedule

If you’re only look for great tasting recipes, then this book is great, the title is just deceiving as it is not college friendly. I bought this book for my son, who wanted college friendly and easy recipes. While the recipes are very good, they are not college friendly. Many of the recipes call for making marinades and have a lot of ingredients. Not sure what kind of college they think kids are attending but this book requires a full kitchen and time - something most college kids don’t have.

I bought for my son who is in college, he just started cooking for himself the last couple of years. Was a little disappointed in this book as it uses mascarpone cheese and marjoram, 1/2 and 1/2, whipping cream and a few other things that I don’t associate with college, these were just a few ingredients that caught my eye. It does have a very few recipes my son will eat, but I am going through the book and showing him how to substitute with things he will eat and have on hand. Don’t see my son having sun-dried tomatoes or Kalamata Olives, tofu, or Chianti on hand or buying alcohol to waste on cooking 😂.

I am reviewing this cookbook based on its name The Quick and Easy College Cookbook. I can not stress enough after having five children go out into the world that this cookbook is not only not for a college student or a novice cook. It has many recipes that include ingredients that a college student not only would not have on hand but are not of legal age to buy. The recipes are not quick or easy. The recipes are not at all what a college student would eat.

I bought this as a secret santa present for a coworker. I haven't really looked through it too much. I do see that there are no pictures. I wish there were because it shows you what the food should look like. I also saw that some of the recipes I would personally never bake as a college student. If I were you look more for a better cookbook before buying.

This book has a ton of great recipes that are quick and easy. But most of all, cost effective! Great for "poor" college kids!

Got this for my son who doesn't seem to be able to boil water :) and he is doing pretty good with this. It seems to be based around a variety of today's canned and boxed things so it is right up his alley!thanks!

Cookbook for college students that require more than basic ingredients. Was under the impression the book would have economical recipes.
