Blissful Pink Noise
The first few days after this arrived it was hard to know just how effective this was as this was bought to try and help our 6 month get back into good napping routine. I didn't want to give up on it without knowing for sure what effect the wisbear was having, good or bad. I think after a few days she got used to it as i might have had the volume on too loud perhaps. The wisbear definitely could be loud enough to drown out the noise of my wife pottering around the house or even a TV on in the background. The lowest volume was too quiet so it took awhile to figure out what resulted in the best nap into terms of volume but dont give up!A big positive is the batteries have not died yet after a week of using it during naps and at night and occasionally forgetting to turn the bear off when she wakes up. Once I thought they had died but when I started to unscrew the compartment it started working again. Some similar device literally gobble up batteries but this is still going strong after 9 days on the same batteries on very regular use.Probably my favorite thing is the crysensor. It actually also responds to movement, so if she she starts moving around it will turn back on even if she hasn't made a noise yet. This is the really important piece as instead of having to be picked up and soothed , she now seems to settle herself with the help of the pink noise. The wisbear, for us, has taken over that mid-sleep settling to allow her to nap longer by herself. It is a really useful day napping aid and for £40 , i would buy one instantly again if this broke so 5 stars all day long

Not as clever as they seem to claim
Does it make pink noise? YesCan you adjust the volume? YesDoes it come on when your baby cries or stirs? Yes, but only because it's always onI'm dubious about the claim of a "cry sensor", the product will stop after 40 minutes only to come back on again after complete silence in the room. Not once has I heard it turn off and turn back on in reaction to sound or movement. Either it's super sensitive to things I can't see or hear (it's currently attached to a wardrobe handle 1 metre away from the cot), or it just has a timer that turns it back on again after a few seconds.I'm not that impressed and feel a bit misled by the described features of this product given the cost

Best baby purchase yet
Best baby purchase yet!! My baby would only fall asleep feeding. I've been putting this on when she goes to sleep for two weeks and I can now put her down awake and she will fall asleep within 10 minutes. She's 3 months old so I thought I'd missed the best time to create an association but clearly not. It kicks back in if she wakes in the night and gently helps her fall quickly back to sleep. It does deactivate if it's not been triggered for 3 hrs, I have found though if she is going to wake it's within 3 hrs or for a genuine reason, nappy change or needing to feed.Since using it she's gone from 3/4 wake ups a night to 1 or even none on a few occasions.

Not good
This is my second Whisbear. The first one is brilliant. Cry sensor working perfectly. This one is a nightmare. Cry sensor not working properly. Tends to turn on on its own without reason or not turn on when the baby is crying. The battery consumption is unreal as it can go on for ages. So no I dont recommend this product

Bearable
Not the cutest of bears, in fact he looks a little sad, perhaps its because he has to do the splits in order to hang on to anything...Just one sound option, a classic white noise type of static hum. When activated the sound goes for 40 mins which is better than many similar products that assume babies nod off within 20 minutes (if only). The selling point though is the cry activation, once the 40 minutes are up, any subsequent cries set the bear off again. Except when they don't, or when the slightest snuffle does, not ideal when sharing the same room. Coupled with this it is quite awkward to switch him off, the button is nestled in his head, not ideal when trying to shut him up in the middle of the night..Still, it is handy to be able to fix him to the cot easily (even if it looks painful) and the sound is, in most situations, unobtrusive.
