Lone Wolf and Cub Omnibus Volume 10

If you’ve made it this far in the collection I need not say much more then it arrived on time an I’ve been hooked since.

Herein lies one of the greatest duels that exists on page. "The Duel of a Thousand Stances" as seen here (originally seen in volume 23) is quite possibly the most epic duel in manga history, second only to Itto and Retsudo's final confrontation. Of course the dialogue is sparse, the action is doing the storytelling! If you did not think this duel was awesome in every way then you should not be reading the masterpiece that is Lone Wolf and Cub.

In this omnibus volume, this magnificent opus has stuttered a little. The on-going confrontation between Ogami and Retsudo is really long-drawn out, with pages after pages of starring contests, sparse dialogue, the cub in equally static pose. Only Abe the poisoner provides some light relief.One carries on reading after having spent and invested so much time in the earlier volumes.
