Awesome
A very detailed work on pleasure and pain theory on ethics. Theory of friendship, desire and necessity... Should be read once in a life. But the book is very consuming, one should give more time to this book to understand the ideas clearly. I was watching youtube lectures side by side on this book for my better understanding.

A new perspective on ethics
I wish this collection would be available as Hard Covers as well. It would make for a great addition to any private book collection.

simply necessary
This book is incredible on so many levels, you'll explore the human condition, nearly wholly understood, from someone who lived 2300 years ago. It'll frame a lot of things you already know by experience and help expand it.The language is a bit convoluted so I suggest to take your time and let it slowly sink in; best of all, it's free and really does help you grow as an individual.

This book feels beyond important to me. Coming back to my roots in the wonderful society we live in today, especially a place I feel proud to call home here. Rarely do I take my time to enjoy a book slowly to assimilite it's valuable wisdom. This is a first and the lessons that lie in this book are fundamental for any student havibg the slightest desire to make a change. Doing right by eachother being a basis for our survival. This is brings us back to a beautiful moment in time.

Far more ethical than any Bible will ever give you.
This guy died in 322 BC. (Before Christ) So that means this book is OLDER than the bible, (well, before all the edited versions anyway) and it's FAR more accurate and ethical than all the bibles on earth can ever give you. This book spoke out to me in large volumes. It's was kinda creepy, like it he knew my whole life. It was kinda like that movie called, A never ending story. Where a kid reads an old book in an attic somewhere, and as he gets further into it, the book is talking about him.I was half expecting for this book to call me by name.Like in one paragraph, Aristotle said that it's best to cutout all the people in your life that are making you feel bad.I did that very thing to the ones that always treated me like pure trash all my life, months before I read this fine book. And for someone that's been dead for ages now, and for someone with a fine mind as someone like Aristotle, I know I'm doing the right thing.Don't forgive thy neighbor, if thy neighbor is mistreating you.He goes on about 3 ways to improve yourself.1 Self-awareness. To be aware of your flaws.2 Self-discipline. To control one's self from natural urges (like anger).3 Self-mastery. Successfully controlled one's own urges over a period of time.Once these 3 have been achieved, you've figured out the secret to life.So in conclusion, this book should be in every church, and every preacher should quote a verse from it for an hour every Sunday.

Must Read
I studied Philosophy in University and this was one of the course subject books. If your searching for balance and centering in your life then this book is a must. It will help you build a framework in which you can think on as you discover yourself through life.
