Digitally remastered two CD set containing a trio of albums from the singer/guitarist: Try a Little Kindness (1970), the Glen Campbell Goodtime Album (1970) and the Last Time I Saw Her (1971). All three made the US Top 100 Albums, with Try a Little Kindness spending 28 weeks there. Hit singles were 'Honey Come Back', 'It's Only Make Believe' and 'Dream Baby'.

keep releasing his albums 3 at a time
I bought this cd when it first came out even though I reviewed the 3 album Glen Travis Campbell set first. I bought the Try A Little Kindness record in 1981. It of course has Try A Little Kindness on it as well as Honey Come Back. I was 10 years old when this originally came out and Honey Come Back is the first Glen Campbell song I remember hearing on the radio. He does a good job on Both Sides Now. The rest of the album is good without any really great songs, but nothing bad either. I did not have the Goodtime album so when this cd came it was the first time I had heard it. With Just Another Piece Of Paper and Funny Kind Of Monday my favorites. He does It's Only Make Believe, MacArthur Park, My Way, and Bridge Over Troubled Water on here. I thought he did a good job earlier in his career on Homeward Bound, but Bridge Over Troubled Water has too much orchestration. The rest of the album is good also. The Last Time I Saw Her is my favorite record of these. I got it for my birthday when I turned 13. My favorite song is If You Could Read My Mind. And his version of it is my favorite version. As time has gone by this album has more songs that I have by other artists then any other album I have. The only song on it that I dont have by somebody else is Love Story. This is a very good album. And at the time it was one of my favorite Glen Campbell albums. I have bought some since then that I like better. But this is a good album. And like I said I got it for my birthday. So when I listen to it now. It brings back a lot of good memories.

and in the echoes of my memory watching the "Glen Campbell Good Time Hour
I listen to this on the road, in my living room, and in the echoes of my memory watching the "Glen Campbell Good Time Hour." This entertainment genre is a lost and forgotten art form that was well thought out, produced, and helped elevate our emotional ties to the world during a difficult time in the 1960s and early 70s. In a variety show format, Campbell's music was interspersed with other outstanding talent lasting an hour (well beyond the 15 secondand 150 character attention span of today).

surprising gift.
I didn't use to be a great fan of Glen but decided to try this CD. It is so wonderful. I enjoyed every song. I listen on my portable CD player with headphones. I hear the richness of his voice and every instrument and it just adds to the enjoyment of listening to it.

Glen Campbell collection
It was great to be able to get these albums on CD, happy to add it to my collections by him. Wish someone would put out a complete box set on him, like Bear Records does. I purchased some single CD albums by him, only to find they are putting them out with more than one album on a CD. This does not help the consumer who is trying to collect his recordings on CD.

glen hits the mark
Any early recordings by Glen Campbell are superb. Of course, the best one would be :There's a Place in the Sun:, which I still cherish and listen to often. These three albums are a good buy for the price. The recording is high quality. A legend on vocals and guitar, Glen is one of my top 5 favorites of all time. Banjo Clark

Glen Campbell Reissue
I am very happy that these albums have been reissued. They have been out of print for too long. Besides the big hits that are on these albums other songs such as Country Girl, Turn It Around In Your Mind, and Funny Kind Of Monday are great songs. Glen performs a great version of Rose Garden. All of the songs on these albums are very good.

Best Glen Campbell Album, Ever
I've been a huge fan of Glen Campbell since 1968. And these are my top three albums of all time. I'm so happy they put these albums onto one CD. These were Glen's best vocals in his prime time. Anyone loving his music will agree with me. Listen and enjoy!

Three excellent albums from 1970 and 1971
Whatever the track listings might say, the first two albums are on CD 1 and the third album is on CD 2. It doesn't really matter though, as all three are of a very high quality. The first album occupies the first 12 tracks of CD 1 and contains two of Glen's hits, these being Try a little kindness, along with a fine cover of Both sides now, plus several other songs that are mostly obscure but well worth a listen. The hit from the second album is a cover of It's only make believe, originally released as the B-side of a Conway Twitty single, which was eventually flipped over and became an international hit. Glen's cover also became an international hit. This album contains the wonderful Funny kind of Monday, together with excellent covers of Bridge over troubled water, MacArthur Park and My way. The booklet note writer is incorrect in saying that Paul Anka co-wrote My way; he is co-credited because he translated the original song into English. It was actually a French song co-written and first recorded by Claude François in 1967 as Comme d'habitude. (Google for more info if you're interested.)The third album was less successful commercially than the other two, but includes a cover of Rose garden, which is rarely recorded by male singers. Joe South originally wrote and recorded the song, and his is the only other male version of the song that I can remember hearing. The remainder of this album contains some other great covers along with some interesting obscurities. This is a great collection that should appeal to Glen Campbell fans everywhere, along with other fans who like top quality country music with pop influences.

Glen in his hey day!
3 strong albums reissued on a double CD by BGO records, although why wasn't it 4. The first 2 albums are on 1 disc, so why not put the another 2 on the 2nd. After all Capitol have now issued a 5 album box set for the same price! That said these 3 albums are not as easily to come by as say 'Galveston' or 'Wichita lineman' on CD. I didn't really become a Glen Campbell fan until a few years after these albums came out so I only knew the hits by him, although I know many of the other songs as they are classics. This was how albums were released in the late 60's and early 70's. One or two singles only per album, I'm a bit puzzled why others seamed to want more singles on these albums, don't they have them on greatest hits albums?'Rose Garden', 'Help me make it through the night' & 'He ain't heavy he's my brother' were obvious choices for Glen Campbell to cover. But the theme from 'Love story' was a nice surprise on 'The last time I saw her'. Again with 'Try a little kindness', 'Both sides now' was an obvious choice but 'All the way' was again a pleasant surprise. Vocally he sounds different on this song. 'MacArthur Park' is the real gem on 'The goodtime album', and he should have released it as a single at the time. Donna Summer's 1978 disco cover is so similar in it's arrangement, they must have gotten the idea from Glen's version. These 3 albums show you why Glen was so big at the time, vocally he is very strong, although I wish he wouldn't go so high in his range at times, and ditto with the strings in the arrangements.

Try a Little Kindness - Glen Campbell
Always been a fan of Glen Campbell's music & his voice is so melodic & uplifting - these are 3 original albums on 2 CDs & the quality is excellent usually I'd play the 'greatest hits' but then one evening recently I watched a concert & it astounded me how could I have missed this variety of music & musicality so I'm expanding my collection of Glen's music to explore the full & wonderful talent which is Glen Campbell the sentiments of the tracks are tender & loving but there's also humour & his personality shines through making the playing of these tracks a joy to hear over & overThere's 44 tracks here & digitally re-mastered it's also fun to see the original artwork & photographs - what a handsome chap - this CD collection is superb Glen's voice is full of humanity & harmony - a much treasured quality to hear on any day

Glad to have these on CD at last
None of these albums have been released on CD before although all have been on ITunes. Shame BGO didn't choose to release the UK version of the Good-time album The Glen Campbell album as this had a couple of tracks from his 1970 religious album. It would be nice if BGO considered the odd b side or single only tracks as bonus tracks but a good package overall.

Good glen campbell albums!
All three of these albums come from around year 1970, when I could call myself a moderate Glen Campbell fan! I had (and still have) a vinyl copy of ''Try a little kindness'' which was an OK album with two great songs: Love is not a Game and And the World Keeps Spinning, the second being my all time favorite Glen Campbell song and one of the most beautiful songs I have ever heard! Since my vinyl copy has been ruined after years of playing, I had been waiting and waiting for a CD reissue and at last, here it is! Now I 'm a happy record collector! The other two albums, which I had never heard before, are in the same vein as ''Try a little Kindness''. So if you are an early Glen Camnpbell fan, this is a very good purchase.
