An Evening With Paul Jones & Dave Kelly

A cd that I have enjoyed immensely and looking and waiting for a new cd by Jones and Kelly. Especially enjoy the "harp.

There are two DVD's by Dave And Paul,both are truly excellent.They are like being at an intimate gig your sharing with the audience at the Ram Jam in London. They are of course two thirds of The Blues Band,Paul also presents The Blues Show Mondays on Radio 2.Together they are among the best acoustic duo's around.You hear about the songs between them,some easy quotes and anything that adds to the listening pleasure.Each disc has a set full of classic blues superbly played and sung.Both are great musicians and make for a totally enjoyable time whenever they get together.Buy this with absolute confidence,get and see them when they come your way,you'll enjoy every second of two of the finest and most popular artists anywhere on the blues scene today.Wonderful stuff by two wonderful and extremely friendly guys...five stars and then some.

When I really want to relax from rock, tough jazz, heavy and trance and all other directions watching concerts on screen (soft music doesnt count, because I dont look at it, only listen), this is one of my favourites. No lights, no show, no mess with big band, wires and speakers. Just two extraordinary clever guys playing nice blues stuff with so good sound and masterring and atmosphere and details, it is simply the way music should be performed.Dave deliver details from his strings which is almost enough alone during the whole concert. And it is astonishing to see and hear how Paul plays his tiny little harmonica, and almost at the same time he is the fine vocal. Go for it!

A lovely performance from two great British bluesmen. Thoroughly enjoyable
