This easy crochet blocking board is an excellent crafted product. Blocking is necessary if you expect to get beautiful results and a blocking board in my opinion is an essential tool for this. I really like that the pins are metal instead of wood. I have another blocking board that has wooden dowels and although they are small in diameter they are not as small as these metal pins. I found that with the metal pins I can insert the work right at the edge of the fabric instead of in the body of the pattern in a spot that will accommodate the diameter of the wooden dowel used in the other blocking board. I also like that the holes are spaced closer together, which allows me to use more pins. More pins, ensure that I get a straighter edge while the fabric is blocking. Using fewer pins generally results in some scalloping between pins and requires more aggressive manipulating of the fabric in order for it to stretch to the desired size. When using acrylic, which has less give than other natural fibers, stretching is a bit more of a challenge so having a lot of pins in place helps. I would definitely recommend this board over others I’ve seen and used.

Seems very sturdy, portable. I am using it this weekend to block my granny squares .Had no chips, wood is finished arrived nicely packaged.

Most of the holes in this blocking board are not drilled properly so the pins that come with it do not fit. I recycled the packaging already or I would have returned this item. I am going to try to fix it by drilling the holes that are not wide enough so it's not a complete waste of money.

So half of the blame belongs on me for not looking into this more, but I went off of the images instead of any description. The board is much smaller than I anticipated and the pegs are short. Because of this, I can only block 2 or 3 granny square less than 6 inches square at a time. I had difficulty getting the pegs to stay in or even go into most of the holes in the board.

Very well made. Has a lovely black felt or maybe it’s velour backing so you won’t scratch your furniture. Increments of 1/2” work great for my smaller blocks. Made in United Kingdom and not you know where so yes!!! I’ve ordered more pins (I over pin I know) so I can have blocks from two different project going at the same time.

Very poor quality. There were only a few holes in the board that I could actually get the pins in. All the rest of the holes were drilled too small. Unusable.

Was looking forward to receiving this, but have to say I'm very disappointed. Only 20 pins, and these are only half the length of other makes. Also the pins do not fit into the holes properly. In fact I cannot get a pin to fit into many of the holes.

I used this for blocking some small crochet work and it was perfect for it.

Sadly the majority of the holes cannot be used as they are full of what looks like glue. Ordered 2 in the end to see if it was just the first one that was faulty but unfortunately both have the same issue.Am returning the 2nd one and will be ordering from a different supplier
