CARDONE's extensive experience in testing and engineering CV Drive Axles is the foundation behind our proprietary method of engineering a product that meets and even exceed O.E. performance. We have researched the reasons why original CVs typically fail and designed new solutions to avoid repeat failure. For example, our boots are designed with additional bellows, when needed, to resist bellow stress and ozone ing - the leading cause of boot failure. High-quality grease withstands high-temperature and high-torque demands to ensure long-lasting, reliable performance. Splines are precision rolled to ensure proper fit of CV Drive Axle into the mating hub and transmission, which eliminates installation hassles. Transmission seal diameter is precision-machined after heat treatment to ensure correct surface finish, promoting long seal life. Additionally, all CV Drive Axle shafts are individually verified for straightness, resulting in vibration-free performance at all speeds.

Fitted to WRX 2002
Easy to fit.Remove wheel.Remove 2 x 12mm bolts for brake line and speed sensor wiring.Mark 2 bolts heads that hold upright to strut. Top is camber adjuster so you want to keep position to avoid re-alignment. 19mm wrench needed. They are fairly tight! Knock bolts out with a mallet.Punch out dimple that locks axle bolt - and undo with tire refitted or someone on the brakes to stop axle spinning. You will need a long bar to break kit loose.Remove roll pin though axle that is right next to gearbox casing on shaft. (you need to spin axle so it is pointing down)Turn Steering hard over (turn right for left axle etc) and you should be able to remove axle oout back and rear side of uprightFit new axle with smear of grease on splines.Philip screwdriver makes a good guide to check hole roll pin alignment..If the roll pin wont go thru hole, rotate axle 180 and try again.IMPORTANT - Fit axle into upright/wheel bearing before fitting roll pin (this gives a little more wiggle room). Carefull you dont damage wheel bearing grease seal inside upright.Useful video on youtube.

Axels work well so far in 2003 WRX
Have stage 2 modified 2003 WRX axels in a month work well will keep updating if there is a problem could be packaged a lil better.Been on a year on a stage 2+ tune holds and runs wonderfully would buy againJust completely upgraded to stage 2 built block hybrid build, upgraded to Blouch 18g-XT-R, 1050cc injectors, water/methanol and much more then I can list. I’m in the breakin process axles are great will keep updating when it goes to the dyno tuners are looking to get just short of 400whp so we’ll see how good these axes are.11/2019 Axles still going strong daily it’s on a conservative tune 374 all wheel hp and 383 all wheel torque so I think these are holding strong for 3 years.

Worked well
Fit my 2004 Subaru Outback w/automatic transmission. Axle came with spindle nut and roll pin. Did not need to straighten dust ring shields like you do most axles that are shipped. My ball joint pinch bolt would not move due to rust so instead of trying to force it braking the bolt creating a headache I pulled the cotter pin to remove the castle nut separating the ball joint from the control arm.

Don’t give it the boot just yet.
Axle appears to be good quality. The price is in the boot job. Ordered two. Check check check the boots before install. Cut on outer from clamp the first time, clamp on inner too loose the second time. As long as the boots are good, it’s a solid axle and the passenger side axle hasn’t leaked a bit. Save yourself the install labor and check the boots.Comes with perfect sized roll pin, note witch side the pin sits in deeper before install. Insert it beveled side first.Comes with new axle nut.

Wow, what garbage.
Gnarly vibration after only 1000 miles of use on them. Garbage.
