Q: What are the dimensions of the actual masher part? Is it small enough to fit in a small cereal bowl size? Thanks!

According to the dimensions listed, the masher base is 2.13 x 1 inches. I use mine to mash stuff in my 6-ounce ramekins every day, so I would imagine you should be able to mash in your small cereal bowl just fine.

Q: Will this work with strawberries?

I've never tried it with strawberries, but assuming the berries are ripe enough, I think it would work. It's a sturdy little thing. But keep in mind that it is a small masher, so if you want to do a lot of berries, I'd recommend a bigger one for the job.

Q: Does the mini masher rust?

I haven't noticed any rust. I think I've only used it once though. I keep it in my kitchen chuck box that I use for car travel. It's a little hard on the hand though because it lacks the soft rubber grip that is in the description.
