I have the 2-inch diam. mirrors, in the black mountings. After the mirror is adhered via its small 5/8-inch square double-sided foam adhesive pad , it adjusts for angle of pointing (aiming) by rotating the outer mounting, The mirror is installed fixed into the outer ring (bezel) of the mounting at about a 7 or 8-degree angle, and can be selectively rotated about the fixed base of the mount (which is attached to your car side-mirror, or etc.). This means that the total deflection of the mirror can be about 15 degrees (that is, about 7 or 8 degrees from each side of the base). Since, with mirrors, the angle of incidence is equal to the angle of reflection, the 15 degrees of Mechanical deflection of the mirror surface provides a total of a possible 30 degrees of Optical deflection of images (views) of the scene of interest (the road behind you, etc.). That's a good amount to choose from once the mirror is mounted to the car. The mirror stays fixed at the angle you set it at, and does not flop about loosely as the car hits bumps. This is a good product at a good low price.

Easy to install and adjust. Definitely a glass mirror, better than a plastic one. I know I’m knit-picking here, but 4 stars because there is about 1 cm mirror distortion around the rim. Also, the actual mirror size is just under 2 7/8 inch, not 3 inches.
