Mauviel 1830 M'Passion Copper Egg White Beating Bowl With Ring, 5-qt

I absolutely love my new copper egg white bowl. I was inspired because Julia Child used the same bowl for decades. In most of her tv shows you see her using the copper mixing bowl for egg whites. If properly maintained, it will last a lifetime. The first thing I made was Julia’s cheese soufflé and I beat the egg whites by hand. It took me about five minutes of vigorous beating, but within thirty seconds I could definitely see the reaction the copper has with the egg whites. Definitely worth the price if you are a serious cook, plus it has the gorgeous visual appeal of hanging on the wall. If you want to invest in copper cookware, Mauviel is definitely the choice to go with. It is the best copper cookware company anywhere!

I love this new acquisition! I already have the larger version, which I purchased several years ago, directly from the dealer in France at a much higher price. This is exactly the same in quality and materials in a slightly smaller size. I think I will probably make more use of this smaller sized bowl. VERY happy with the price paid (from Warehouse Deals). It's only flaw was in the box it came in, which doesn't matter in the least. The bowl itself is in excellent, unused condition. :D

we keep this hanging on the wall in our kitchen. we use it to whip egg whites and make whipped cream. it speeds up the process and it's fun to use. it's pretty, and it's thick enough to be sturdy. a good purchase.
