Comes preassembled, you just stack it all up. The dove tail joints are really good, the nails to reinforce aren't done in a way that cracks them. The whole thing is covered in wax, which if you don't scrape or clean with soap, it will protect the wood forever. The top is a piece of thin sheet metal nailed on and I assume glued, feels very solid.The frames it came with aren't put together, but that's no biggie because they give you the wax combs but if you're like me and you want to do wood dowels I'm them then you're free to do so!The tools look identical to the 60$ set you see highly recommended and in very good quality and shape. It comes with a few scrapers and poppers, 2 queen cages, cleaning brush, smoker with several pellets and to top it all off it comes with a good pair of leather beekeeper gloves made from a pretty thick canvas. If you have a beekeeper outfit they go perfect with it.I'm a beginner beekeeper but I would definitely consider this if you're starting you're own hive or need to buy an extra one to expand and want some extra tools as well, the quality and value can't be beat, really.

The overall frame and bottom board was well assembled but there was one spot that was poorly filled with wood glue and sanded down. The wax coating was applied well but I reccomend skimming the surface with a straight edge due to the large amount of drip lines. The supplied top cover had a noticeable dent in the corner of it. More then likely the delivery driver of warehouses fault and while function its just unpleasant to look at. The frames are easy to assemble but the supplied nails came up short and a hair long, overhammering will create a sharp point on the bottom bar. If you can staple them I would do so. The frames did not have a even was coat.The supplied tools are run of the mill but functional and will serve long term if not abused. The bellows will be the first thing to fail but everything else looks promising. Overall a great starter set but your quality of the brood box may vary.

All the wood joints are perfect fit and screwed together. Accessories are a bonus!

Came with everything needed, besides the bees, to get started raising honey bees. Simple to assemble.

Great value for a new beekeeper. Comes with everything you need to install your first nuc.It was good to get both types of hive tool so I could experiment and decide which one I like better.
