The Shadow (Florentine series Book 2)

This book is exceptional. Such a talented author, who has obviously done so much historical research. The second book leads on from the first in the series so fluidly. William and Raven are so in love. William is trying so hard to appease all the harm and pain that Raven encountered from her stepfather David. Even granting her his termination, but Raven is to good to have this finality. She contacts her sister, but all does not bode well. Plots, intrigue, murder, action, romance, tenderness and traitorism are all here. This has been a wonderful journey, even catching up with the 'Emersons' briefly. A total must read, but needs to be read in chronological order, else all the characters will not make sense. The end is one of suspense, Revolution, and high drama, making way for another novel in this magnificent series. William is strong, but will all end well? Who knows until the next book!!!!!! Only the author has the answers.

Beautiful writing, excellent characters, fantastic storyline, Sylvain is an excellent author. All his books are captivating and gripping. All are definitely must reads.

A rollicking tale . I read the first one ages ago then forgot them . But I started the series again and loved it.

This is one story that I have been looking forward to for absolutely ages. Raven and William are true love through the centuries. With everything that William.has to look after and the people that look up to him for guidance I.always makes time for Raven and for what she needs and will do whatever he can for her well being in the end.. can't wait for the next book to see what happens to the prime and his Raven and if they will get their hea xx

Waited what seemed like forever for this book but it was so worth it. Another beautifully written story with many twists and turns. The Prince/William and Raven's relationship is everything to both of them, above everything else and all that what to come between them. Plot includes intrigue, murder, action, romance, tenderness and traitorism are all here. Now to wait for the next book.
