Loved it!
I always know I'm enjoying a book when I find myself frowning or smiling as I read, but it means I'm invested in the characters and what happens to them. This wonderful story had me invested from the beginning, inspiring plenty of reaction. There's no need for me to explain the plot as it is excellently told in the book's synopsis.Suffice to say, reading anything by Sylvain Reynard is a cultural experience, and a journey to some of the most fascinating cities in the world. With a lyrical style and a healthy respect for art, history, and religion, SR delivers a sophisticated tale filled with suspense, intrigue, and of course, romance.Nicholas, our hero, beautifully flawed, driven by his heart and often constrained by his past, has a nobility you can't help but fall in love with.Acacia, our heroine, a strong, spirited and often stubborn young woman has secrets of her own which threaten both their futures. You feel for her, you feel for them. But can their undeniable chemistry survive the obstacles they both face? You'll have to find out for yourself. I recommend that you do. :-)The Man In The Black Suit - Mystery, sacrifice, vengeance and passion. Everything you need in a riveting story, eloquently delivered by Sylvain Reynard.

is one delight of a story
The man in a black suit, is one delight of a story. Full of history, culture, religious behaviours, mystery, violence, romance and much, much more. All is essential to make this a great novel. Yes there are dark moments, yes there is relationship distrust, but all is necessary to indulge the reader in such vivid suspense. The all Alpha male is one complex character, that wants revenge for his family’s thieft of treasured beings and material things. The heroine is an intelligent, lady who is constantly trying to hide her past and faith. When the two characters become involved the chemistry is explosive and dynamic. Previous characters are mentioned in a way that leaves the reader feeling almost updated on their progress. The plot is fantastic and there is no way that you can second guess any outcome, even the ending, although complete, leaves you wanting more knowledge of Nicholas and Acacia. All of this author’s books are a treat to read and this is no exception.

Another good read
Another great read from the pen (or laptop) from this great Author. This book takes you from Paris, to Venice. I love all the art references in the book and the story had my heart hammering in my chest at certain points. Acacia Santos is from Brazil, but is now working in the hospitality industry in a prestigious hotel in Paris. There she first meets the man in the Black suit, who makes impossible demands on her services as a concierge.I loved how this book took us to new destinations, and the twists and turns of the story.

Good
I haven't read this genre for a few years and although it was well written it was a little predictable for my taste. I read the Gabriel series which I loved but I was single then, the Florentine series I struggled with and have still not finished book 2. If you like this type of read rich man meets beautiful woman falls in love but both have hidden issues then you'll love this. Think I would rate 3.5* for this book.

Enjoyed!
Really good! None of the characters were clichés which is rare in this genre. An original, well researched novel. A good read. The writing is better when the scenes are quieter and more descriptive, and some of the more dramatic moments didn’t read as well. There was also this scene with a table which rang false. But overall a good read with unique characters.
