still reading but so far exceptionally informative

missing pages and misprinting
This might have been a GREAT book, with lots of needed information about the KKK and Reconstruction in South Carolina, but the copy I received has jumbled pages, for example skipping from 14 to 151, and then repeating many of those pages. This particular volume should have been thrown in the garbage or at least sent back to the printer who fouled up a potentially very useful and interesting book.

Carpetbaggers, Cavalry, and the Ku Klux Klan: Exposing the Invisible Empire During Reconstruction
This was a gift for a family member and he found it to be very informative about the Ku Klux Klan and the part they played in the Reconstruction after the Civil War.
