Peef and His Best Friend (Peef the Bear)

These are the sweetest stories and my kids love them. We started with Peef The Christmas Bear and had to buy the other two books, along with a Peef bear. Santa made Peef himself by using scraps of fabric from the elves. You'll have to read the book to see the end of the story!

Great Series. Addition to the first two to complete the set

Good book, with great message for a child at this age group (entering kindergarten). My little one just loves his little Peef bear and I was happy to see that there are a series of books featuring this Christmas bear during the year, not just Christmas time.

The kids got one of the bears as a gift and love the books that go with it.Are happy when PEEF is said in the book.

I love books and am encouraging my grand kids to read and they also are enjoying this book about Peef the Bear.

PEEF and his best friend share summer days filled with adventure, fueled by imagination. They escape from a stampede of Dinosaurs, are chased by Tyrannosaurus Rex. And just when they believe they are safe, the Aliens bear down on them. They reach safety with seconds to spare. Then, when it appears safe, spies appear and the best friends must get away by bike if they are to survive. Whew! It's time for a rest. But their day of adventure is not over yet as bath time brings them to Pirates Cove and a sunken ship. Life is good for the two friends who end their day, snuggled together in bed wishing for other adventures.The best friends' summer play ends and school begins, bringing a new friend into the picture. The new friend thinks PEEF is for babies. And PEEF's best friend rejects PEEF for his classmate. It is a sad day. But PEEF's best friend soon realizes his mistake and is filled with guilt and sadness. They are entertaining and contain an important message for all of us. The illustrations are stunning and beg to be touched. All of the PEEF books are important additions to a child's library. My boys (6 and 8) and I loved the newest Peef book -- that warm-hearted multi-colored bear they love so well continues his adventures in this tale. This time, Peef has to deal with school, new friends, disappointment, and forgiveness -- quite a load for anyone, but because Peef has the great big heart (and "peef" squeak) that he does, he's equal to the task. The lively colors and clever drawings throughout -- including animated dinosaur bushes -- kept my kids enchanted. They also liked the rhyming language that makes the book flow along well. So if you're looking for a book -- birthday, Christmas, start of school, or pleasure -- that helps kids express feelings they may not be able to verbalize, this Peef book helps. My six-year-old pointed to one of the pictures and exclaimed, "That's what happened to me!" You'll get some great conversations started at your house after you read this book to your kids.
