RANDOLPH SCOTT WESTERN COLLECTION - 12 CLASSIC BD

I actually have to say, "Bravo!" to Mill Creek for this awesome collection of Randolph Scott Westerns. I had never seen any of them and they really do look glorious in Technicolor on Blu-ray. Mill Creek is quickly making a name for itself. Some years ago MC meant cheap DVD collections of crumby looking films with no subtitles and muddy soundtracks. Now, with this collection and others they are in the forefront for releasing well conceived collections with pretty nice picture qualities. The films in this collection on the whole look very nice. There were a coupe of films that didn't seem to reflect the high definition format and almost looked upscaled, maybe it was just me. Then the 3D film was a bit gnarly, but that reflects the type of film it was of that period. The majority of the films are great. The standard problems of story construction or being a bit too obvious but for the most part entertaining and enjoyable. I got this for my mother who's 90 and she needs subtitles to help with the words she misses. This collection has them and was the difference between buying them or not too. These films also have special features with commentaries which is really great too. I'm one of those nerds who love to listen to commentaries!So, despite some of the issues that I listed this is definitely a Five out of Five stars! I look forward to more great collections like this from Mill Creek! Again, Bravo!

12 western movies and very low price. Not even one bad movie. They all were good and many of them exellent. Great quality and for me, whose native language is not not english, the subtexts were quite useful. This is a must-have for everybody who loves traditional westerns. I personally cannot do without :-)

Great way to start (or expand) your Randolph Scott movie collection! All 12 movies come on 6 Blu ray discs, two movies to a disc. This set includes a number of Randy’s best movies - such as “Ride Lonesome”, “Comanche Station”, and “The Tall T” - as well as several others that were new to me, yet were great surprises that I very much enjoyed (“Hangman’s Knot” with a young Lee Marvin, “Buchanan Rides Alone”, “The Desperadoes” with Glenn Ford). I initially ordered this set as a bargain way of purchasing “Ride Lonesome”, “Comanche Station”, and “The Tall T”, but after viewing all 12 movies I’m happy to have each and every one of them in my movie collection.By the way, if you’re a fan of Randolph Scott, I highly recommend adding “Ride the High Country” [Blu-ray] to your collection as well (since it’s not included in this set).

Six restored color blu rays having 12 Randolf Scott movies are nicely packaged. HD quality and bit rates are high. Congratulations Mill Creek. If you are not familiar with Scott's westerns, you will be surprised that they have twists, are often cynical, and as Mill Creeks accompanying booklet explains, are acidic.

One of the best things Blu-ray collections i ever bought! So Pleased 😀!!! Has the 5 BUD BOTTICHER movies, plus a great mix of damn fine western movies! So highly recommended!

Great westerns and great bargain as there are 12 movies!

12 great Scott westerns, including his classic 5 with director Boetticher, at a very reasonable price. Decent Blu Ray transfer and some nice bonus material. Fully satisfied.

I bought the new Mill Creek 12 movie Blu ray set of Randolph Scott and am very pleased by it. Despite stating Region A on the listing and on the case I can confirm all films play on my Sony region B player here in the U.K. I have yet to watch a film all the way through but I have sampled them all and was very happy with the quality. No doubt people with sharper faculties than me will offer a detailed assessment of each film and a comparison with the 5 Indicator film set (which I am sure will be even better quality). To my eye these are all very good quality and a great value set. So (unless you expect perfection) buy this set with confidence. My only complaint is I bought from Amazon U.K. knowing the item would arrive from Amazon in the US and the packaging by Amazon US was inadequate. I had to ask for some credit so I could buy a replacement case (£7) which arrived overnight. This is the second item I have received from Amazon in the US this last two months that was poorly packed and both arrived damaged. Amazon U.K. is far better at packing.
