... glonass has about the same current consumption with way better fix quality
Sparkfun's Quiic GPS with glonass has about the same current consumption with way better fix quality. This works but the 3333 chipset should have been used instead.

battery holder is not secure
I bought this from Adafruit and really like it. It works well and is easy to use so I hate to downrate it.But the holder for the battery is not secure. Looks like it's mean to be mounted horizontal and not subject to vibrations. I have lost several already because they pop out if you drown it or even hit it with your fingernail. I use my current one in a small pelican case, so it won't be a problem in actual use but my next project is to use one for a GPS based bike computer where it will be mounted in the open and vertical. I'm going to need to try some means of holding it in place. Hopefully not tape.
