well made, accurate machining,M-taper fits well, chuck goes to zero to fit tint drill bits.Lube it and use it.Does not have a drive tang and may be difficult to change out.

I bought this chuck because the one on my drill press have a big, worn-out chuck with about .006 in. of run-out at the bit and I wanted better. At first I was not happy with the .004 I was getting, but tried resetting the arbor at four points (0,90,180, and 270 degrees) until I go the best runout reading then did the same with the chuck. At the end of the process I measured (several times to be sure) and was getting well below 0.001 in. run-out at the bit. I don't know what is "good" for drill press chuck runouts, but I am very happy to go from .006 to .001 for $33.

The chuck arrive on time and very well packaged. After unboxing, all parts were encased in foam, wrapped in plastic and had a light coat of machine oil on their surface for preservation. The #2 MT tailpiece seats perfectly and firmly into the chuck with only a slight tap. The chuck is very well machined with a flawless finish. The jaw action is smooth and precise. The kit comes with the chuck, #1 and #2 Moria Taper tail pieces and a perfectly fitting chuck key. All pieces are expertly machined, finished and packaged. I will definitely buy another one of these in the very near future. A great value for the money!!

Just received it yesterday and used it this morning on my lathe. I like the fact that it can fit both size tapers. I have two lathes and each have different size taper , one small and one larger. I used it to make a screwdriver handle and will come in handy on other projects. High quality and I am very pleased with my purchase.
