Great toy, but tiny and cryptic instructions
Got this for my son, who loves to wield a screwdriver and twist nuts and bolts with the earnest enthusiasm of an underage unpaid 5-year old laborer. The assembly aspect is great: The many projects are fun to build; they’re sturdy and functional when done, the pieces fit together properly, and once built, he has a lot of fun rearranging parts to suit his imagination. The major problem is that the instructions are impossible for a kid to follow, and were very difficult for ME to follow. There is a lot of guesswork involved. They are in image format, and they are tiny. Also, the images are very poorly angled in their presentation - meaning that the part where you are supposed to insert a screw, bend a plastic piece, or whatever, may well be hidden from view - you’ll see the front of a 3D image with an arrow pointing somewhere behind the surface layer. So I have to sit with my son and guide him through the steps, and occasionally, frustratingly back-track a few steps with “Oops, Mommy made a mistake, this piece actually goes into the 5th hole, not the 3rd, I just had to guess because the picture didn’t show us….”He certainly doesn’t mind making the revisions, but there’s a limit to how much patience the adult has…

Fun set, with some flaws
I bought this set for my 4 y/o son, who loves to tinker and build. I really like that this uses nuts and bolts, so while he's playing/building, he's learning real skills. However, it's frustrating that some of the vehicles slowly unscrew at certain pivot points, with no easy way to re-tighten them (so they eventually work themselves completely loose). Then you have to partially disassemble the vehicle and build it back. Not all of the vehicles have this issue, but it's worth noting. The crane with the claw on the front of the box is one such vehicle. Otherwise, this is a fun toy that he can grow with.

STEM, Educational, Pre-School
My son who is of pre-school age received this for Christmas. We have spent a few hours building "construction projects". Would highly recommend purchasing if you have a child that enjoys building. The steps are easy to follow when putting together the different projects.

For your little builders
This was such a cute build. I will say my son 6 was a little to young for it. I had to build it for him with him helping along the way. But the digger part was a huge hit! I would recommend for kids 8 to 12.

Cheap and not durable
This toy is just pretty cheap and small for the price. It felt like a one-time build instead of something that could be played with and rebuilt over and over again. Would definitely go with another building toy in the future.

Super gift
We got this for our grandson who turned 4. He LOVED it and built 2 vehicles the very first day. Directions were OK but adults should look them over first so children don't need to sit while you figure it all out.

Great engaging toddler activity
The media could not be loaded. This is a fun and engaging activity for your toddlers. The ability to make multiple Trox engages your child’s creativity while also teaching them life skills of building this project. This project is a little intense with the instruction so I would encourage an adult to be present to help, but overall a great family activity.
