Q: Can I leave it out during winter?

I suppose you could but we put it in the garage during the winter months. Make sure you put two coats of stain on it as we did to protect it. I think it will last longer if you take it inside or maybe if that won't work put a tarp over it. This is my opinion. We love this wishing well!

Q: Where is this wishing well made?

Can't actually tell. They are in Chino, CA and it is implied they manufactur their wood products there. The wood quality seems very good. I have had my wishing well for over 5 years. I stained it when I assembled it and last year I stained it again. Am very happy with this item. It looks great, still.

Q: how thich are the roof boards

The roof boards are about 5/8 inches thick. (The decorative trim makes them appear to be thicker than that in the picture, but the boards themselves are 5/8 inches.)
