Wasn't what I expected! Only because I was told it was the easier version of soap making. For those that love doing this I'm sure it would be great. I need the easy way.

Even though I am not into crafts and similar creative type activities that much; nevertheless, when I saw this interesting book (Step by Step Soap making: Materials, techniques and recipes by Josephine Simon, 83 pages) on Amazon I decided to purchase it.I admit to finding this book to be very informative and easy to understand even though I had never made my own soap previously. This guide is simple to follow and covers the following material:Avant propos, an introduction, terms to know for soap making, types of soap making, the various materials needed bch as oils, fats, lye, colorants and fragrances. It is essential to read the safety precautions before beginning your soap making procedures. Other topics covered include how to make cold processed soaps, how to melt and pour soaps, formulas for basic vegetable soap, animal fat soap, all-purpose shower and bath soap, country pantry soap and creating your own soap making recipes.If you are interested in a simple and easy to follow guide to making soap you may want to check out this informative text.Rating: 4 Stars. İ was afraid how i will understand , it would be difficult but i found that the books is including everything from a-z with very simple word . I recommend any beginner to read this book. Even though i was predicting more recipes

This is a book has lots of good information but no pictures provided. I wish it had pictures of the step by step activities to take. I need pictures of what the soap should look like especially when working with lye. The book has a nice looking cover.

This was a gift, but the receiver was very excited. They said it was more than what they were expecting as far as information. They can’t wait to get started.

Great book for newbies learning how to make soap. If you have a few recipes under your belt, you will want a more advance book.

Good information about soapmaking for the beginner like myself, but there is a lot of information not included in the description during the soap making process. I wish there was more information about how the formulas were derived vs the formula just given. I didn't understand how they came to the amount per product used and the amount of lye needed per recipe. That is some clarification I feel is necessary to understand in the soap making process and in recipe development.
