Has changed my life!!
Oh my God. This has changed my life. After 3.5 years of 24/7 pain due to autoimmune disease, this device, used in combo with the Autoimmune Protocol (AIP), my pain was gone in two weeks. I know that sounds like a fraudulent claim. I was skeptical, and to be honest I would probably not have sprung for the cost of this device except that in starting the AIP you are supposed to give up taking NSAIDs (Ibuprofen, Advil, etc.). So I needed an alternate source of pain relief. And since this product got such good reviews, and came with a 60-day money-back guarantee, I figured it was worth a shot. (When you are in immense pain for years on end you will try almost anything, and $250 is really not a lot for pain relief when you are in chronic pain.) The cost of the electrodes also gave me pause. But I gave it a shot.Within a few days I thought I was detecting a change. And within 10 days my pain was down from a 7-8 out of 10, to a 4-5. Now 6 weeks after starting the Quell, it is a 1-3. And to be honest some days I forget to wear it because I'm not in pain.I can't really say if using the device alone would have the same effect; I do think a lot of it is the combination with the AIP. But I am now drug-free in terms of pain relief, and I was taking a LOT of Advil. They say this device doesn't work for everyone, and some folks have had complaints about the electrode quality and sleeve quality. I have had no issues. The sleeve does seem to be getting beat up from so much use (curling at the corners where you attach it) but I like that it is thin because you can wear it under pants with no problem. It charges quickly and holds a charge for a long time. The device itself does seem to be made of cheap plastic but so far I'm fine with it. The phone app is great too, you can change the intensity from your phone. When it's on it feels like a light tingling, just in the spots where the electrodes attach, like your leg is going to sleep. It does not bother me at all, and after a while I don't even notice it. I have been able to sleep with it on no problem, although when I wake it does seem to be off, and I don't know if that's supposed to happen or if it's not working in night mode. I also have had no problem with the electrodes lasting 2 weeks. You can try using electrode gel to make them last a little longer, I bought some but have actually not tried it yet. This device could not be easier to use, and it has no side effects and is drug free. I recommend everyone take advantage of the 60-day money-back guarantee and give it a try, you have nothing to lose.

Provides some relief from Arthritis Pain
I decided to withhold my comments until i had used the Quell device for at least a month. I have osteo arthritis in my Rt hip and I am trying to address the chronic pain i experience most of the time and the acute pain I have walking and sleeping. My goal is to extend the time i have before the pain is so bad that a hip replacement is necessary. I was looking for a pain reducer that is not a pharmaceutical solution.Pros: I find that the quell is relatively easy to use. I have read the reviews and do not find that the unit is painful (I am smart enough to turn it down if it gets uncomfortable), the band does not stretch out (although i wash mine about once per week and have normal sized legs) and haven't found that the device moves around on my leg during my active day. While i still need my low-dose tylenol for inflammation, i am certain that the device has knocked down much of my arthritis joint pain and the stiffness i always had getting up in the morning before the tylenol kicks in. The bone-on-bone pain in my hip joint seems to be reduced since i started using the quell. This device coupled with my tylenol seems like a good combo so that I'm not limping around and have increased my activity. I believe that it took about 2 weeks for the endorphins to fully kick in.Through experience i decided not to sleep with the device on... i can't get comfortable with the thing on my leg and i tend to dislodge the 'snaps' that connect the device to the electrode strip when i sleep. So i use it mostly during the day.I control the unit both manually and via my smartphone app. Both ways are easy once you get the hang of it. I would not let the fact that a potential user does not have a smart phone be a purchasing decision factor.Cons: the gel strips take some getting used to... they can be tricky to place and remove on your leg and keeping the peel-off cover is a must to maintain the electrode strips. Once you get the hang of it, it isn't too hard. I would not recommend the regular electrode strips (blue goo), period! The gel becomes 'melty' after a few wearings and if used for more than a few hours (or overnight) the gel pads peel off the strip; no matter how careful you treat the gel strip. Per an Amazon user comment, I purchased Sport Electrode strips (clear goo) and am better satisfied... these adhere better, no melting and the strips last more than the 2-week average advertised.I also found that the electrode snaps tend to separate from the device while wearing the quell. I have learned to rotate the strip... not sure why one snap seems to not connect as soundly in the device, so i rotate the strip and that seems to do the trick. But am puzzled that both the electrode snaps don't appear to attach to the device holes equally since there does not apper to be an up or down marked on the strip. I almost discarded a relatively new strip that i could not keep attached until i tried flipping it...Although the device is small, it still is big enough to bunch my slacks, so i have resigned myself to the fashion choices i will be making to wear the quell. It isnt bad, but bye-bye skinny jeans! But a lumpy pants leg is still more attractive than a limp!i am pleased with the quell and feel that it is worth the $ in my case. While the electrodes are problematic, the sport strips apper to solve the reliability issue. I purchased a backup velcro-strap and haven't used it yet, regular washing seems to help the original one to keep it's shape. Regarding whether i would recommend this to others... I believe that a user would need the dexterity to manage the electrode strips. Too bad since many senior citizens would get relief from this device.
