No Hassel Ceiling Tile Cutter
Works great. This tool beats trying to free hand cut the depth and create a straight line at the same time.

Handy tool
Haven’t actually used it, but tried it on a scrap piece of ceiling tile. It seems like it should work fine.

Perfect 4 edge detail on ceiling tiles… Not professional quality… But perfect for small jobs
it took me a while to find this tool… I don’t install ceiling tiles often… But if you need something that has that detail on the edge that drops down around the metal framing… This is a great tool… And inexpensive. It can easily be improved if they would give you some kind of a measurement when adjusting the blade farther in… So you could be consistent with your depths… And it would also be better if they improved it by making the metal part that act as a guide be able to adjust so you can get the depth difference as well… And of course, if they just made a power tool like this, that would be great! But it certainly wouldn’t be just a few dollars that this is… So if you only need it for a quick job, this is great… But I’m sure if you do this for a living You’ll want a power tool of some sort. (with vacuum attached).

Good for edge cut. Still had to use utility knife for face cut.
After botching up some tiles, I stopped trying to use this for the face cut and only used it to do the edge cut. The problems I had were: 1 - the tool marred the surface of the tile. I had to put some painter's tape along the face of the tile to prevent that from happening. 2 - the tool didn't make a clean cut, even when making several passes of increasing depth. 3 - The width of the recess on a factory tile is 3/8". This cuts only 1/4" and sometimes that extra 1/8" makes a difference, especially if you are cutting opposite sides.I think where this tool came in really handy was in making the edge cut. I could set the depth to 3/8" and run the tool along the edge from the bottom side of the tile, then run over the face edge with a utility knife and a straight edge to make a nice, clean cut. It is really hard to get that edge cut with a utility knife, so this saved me some time.

Not worth it
nice idea, i got better, faster cuts using a utility knife freehand

Handy Tool
This tool does a great job of cutting the horizontal cut, but does not provide enough lip on the vertical. It takes some getting used to, but in the end very worthwhile to purchase. Use your good razor cut for the money cut.

condition
I ordered cutter for work I'm doing on my home. It was an update from old to newer. The project was already under way when I received a link about your tool. Outer rim pieces and corners had to be cut to specific lengths. For the time of delivery, the ceiling was finished, except for perimeter tiles. I used the cutting tool and it cut through like a warm knife through butter, no fraying, no dust and the edge was smooth. Thanks
