Yes but to add to the protection to your laptop just insert a thin layer of that grey plastic to stop any drop bag effects so it dosent harm the laptop. I always got that bit extra since its hard to get back working if dropped 👍

Q: Is it really waterproof? One of the pictures just states 'water repellent'.

Very few foldaway backpacks are truly waterproof, and certainly none in this price range. These are water resistant instead. This is, they offer a certain degree of protection to the elements but if subjected to heavy rain and such for a while, the water will inevitably find its way inside.
