Excellent Standing Desk
I did research the Versadesk vs others before I purchased. And when it came in, it was very easy to assemble and put on top of my desk. It goes up and down via the electric buttons very easily and quietly. I like that is American made and the quality is excellent. The cherry matches my existing desk and is very sturdy - like something I would get if I actually worked in an office that had higher end fittings. My only enhancement request is if the Keyboard/Mouse tray could move. It is permanently fixed to the unit and I would love to be able to flip it up and out of the way in some way when I want to use my desk as my as my writing surface. It will just take some getting used on my part to use a different area of my desk.

Sturdy (see recommendations). Well designed and built.
VERSADESK 48 Inch Electric Height Adjustable Ergonomic Desk ConverterGot this desk riser to address back and shoulder issues. Positive change has begun. The unit comes essentially fully assembled. No tools needed to attach the keyboard shelf. The unit is also includes attached felt pads to protect the surface of the base desk.SAFETY SUGGESTIONAs I was putting the workstation together, more than once I had my hand on the unit for balance and it "slipped", once VERY close to falling off the main desk. Here is my recommendation: Swap out the felt pads for Non-Slip Rubber pads. I did this and now the desk extender is now rock solid. NO slipping and over all improved stabilityAlso, as a sharing, not a problem. I will be converting to a smaller footprint wireless keyboard and mouse.

Durable and Useful
The desk works perfectly for it's intended use. I have the dual monitor attachment that mounts to the VersaDesk along with my laptop as the keyboard and 3rd monitor. I'm often on meetings all day long and this allows me to sit or stand in a matter of seconds and get it to the exact height I want for my personal need. What could be improved?- Making the device a full surge protector outlet system so you can plug your devices in. It has a USB charger next to the up/down buttons but I have a lot of cords going throughout the desk to connect to the monitors and outlets.- Speaking of cords, it would be great to have a cord management system running underneath the upper level desk to keep it clean. Overall it has a cord management post for the dual monitors but that's it.- An option for nicer desktop material. It comes in fiber board black/grey or white. It is fine and durable but it would be nice to maybe have a choice of solid wood options for a nicer home office.Overall, I'm very pleased with the desk and people comment about it often. The above are minor improvements as would some LED lighting options that make it better but could also impact the price. I find it much better than the manual stand desks and the value is definitely there. If you are in the market, don't hesitate to get this desk.

Some issues, Works Well (36 inch versa desk)
I waited to own this 3 months before writing a review to see how it held up. I have a 3 monitor stand screwed into the middle stand hole and I am probably ~15 pounds under the weight limit for the 36 inch desk with this setup.Assembly: Easy, out of the box setup. Only adjustments needed are for the keyboard and plug ins.Sturdiness: It feels relatively sturdy, though as others have mentioned, the keyboard portion does lean forward a bit, even when adjusted to the tightest setting. I only notice this when I'm in standing desk mode.Quality: Overall, the quality seems good. I've been using this with my current setup for several months, switching to standing at least once a day, with no issues. One note: my up/down buttons are backwards. What the instructions said were up is actually down, and down is actually up. I still press the wrong button each time because intuitively it should work like how the instructions align it. I didn't return to get a new one due to this, because I didn't notice until I pretty much had everything set up, and it's easy enough to deal with.Height: I am 5'4, and when I'm walking on my treadmill the tallest height is perfect for me. If you are taller than me and have something you're walking on that elevates you a few inches, the height setting may have you hunched over. My base desk is relatively short, so if you have a taller desk that may help too.

Excellent design, sturdy construction, almost no assembly required
Excellent design, high quality, very sturdy. American designed, American made. Having an electric motor makes raising and lowering my 48-in. Versa Desk a snap. The only assembly required is attaching the keyboard tray with is very quick and simple. I am very pleased with my purchase, and with a lifetime warranty, you can't go wrong.

Versadesk has an interesting definition of "stable and sturdy"
When I first set up this converter I noticed that it had a slight lean forward. I tested it at different heights and confirmed that it does lean forward. The attached image shows a 2.7° lean, and that measurement was zeroed on the metal frame that sits on the table. Not only that, but because of the lean, the keyboard tray hits the table first while the top surface is still lowering. That causes an abrupt shift which seems quite jarring.I attempted to contact Versadesk support via their web form, but after waiting for over a week I received no response. I called their support line and was told to email support. I emailed support images of the different level readings I was getting, and I was told the engineering team would need to review them and get back to me. I waited three weeks and sent a follow-up. It took over a week to get a response that this was "completely normal" and that was it. I spent so long waiting for responses from their support that I'm outside the return period and since this is normal the warranty doesn't apply. The part that disappoints me the most about this is I bought this desk after returning one that cost half as much because it didn't feel stable enough. With the 80lbs weight rating, I justified spending twice as much to get something that would be sturdy. Instead, I spent twice as much and ended up stuck with something I'm less happy with.Lesson learned. Next time there's an issue with a purchase I'll just return it right away instead of waiting on support to resolve it.
