We recently installed these on all our kitchen cabinets and drawers and they work great. They don't require any hardware which was the main point of getting them and have only had to replace the locks because I accidentally baked the when they were stuck to a bottom of the muffin tin #momproblems. I got these lock magnets as backups for the ones that came with our child proof lock sets. Not only do they work as expected, they are STRONGER than the ones we got. This is an added bonus. The locks installed on our drawers need extra strength magnets due to the added thickness of the drawers. These magnets deliver! I cannot speak to the adhesion of the rest plate (name?), as we don't use them. I'd imagine they work as expected. Highly recommended, will buy again if needed.

These locks take a second to figure out how to install them, I felt like the instructions weren't too easy to understand, but once you figure it out it's actually quite simple and quick. You can choose to use the sticky back to adhere them, or screw them on (screws included). I have been using these for about four months now, and I've had no problems with sticky locks or locks that jam. I do like that you can choose to turn the locks "off." That way if your baby isn't home or you are a grandparent or friend who doesn't usually have babies in your house, you can turn them off so you don't need the key to get into your cupboards or drawers. They offer replacement keys if you lose one, but if you have a strong enough magnet at home it can work, too. We have had to use our kids' magnet wands to get in before, and they worked fine. Overall I would recommend these locks to any parent, babysitter, or friend/family member that wants to baby-proof their house.

I bought magnetic baby locks and it only came with two, so I bought these “magnetic keys” to keep in same areas as the locks. These will not work on any of my locks that are set up. They are magnetic and will work when it’s directly beside the locks, but will not unlock/lock anything that’s inside of my doors.
