Heavy-Duty Aluminum T-Square Ruler Size: 48"

This is a decent T-square and seems to have good accuracy. I wouldn't call it heavy duty, by any means. The blade is fairly light weight aluminum and flexes readily. It is probably better suited to drafting than marking lines on a work piece. For layout work I wound up buying a real heavy-duty T-square from Woodpeckers, made entirely of thick anodized aluminum, CNC machined to final specification. It is very rigid and accurate, and, of course, a lot more money.

I use T-squares to draw layout lines making furniture. This square is....square; I noticed no deviation from 90 degrees between the head and the blade. The blade is rigid enough to make straight lines across its length. I would buy this again and enjoy using it.

Unfortunately, I'm going to have to return this. It was listed incorrectly in the title and description. Buyer beware. Apparently, it's always been listed incorrectly and they just don't feel like correcting it! Sometimes, I'm really disappointed in Amazon.

Bought it 6 months ago, I use it to lay out electrical control panels on back pans. Although it held a true 90 the first month, it no longer does, and is off by 1/16th at 48in. The plastic head is flimsy and the rivets are not HEAVY DUTY, and is why it is no longer true. The gauge of the aluminum scale should have been thicker as it bows terribly when picked up. Will not buy again.

Needed something long and this did the trick. Arrived with a noticeable curve over the 6 inches of the metal bar nearest the plastic T rising about 1/2 inch. I tried carefully straightening it out to no avail. I just remember to apply a little pressure for accuracy.

Good, heavy material and measures true. Couldn't be happier with it.

Very nice T Square. One of those tools you don't need every day but sure nice to have when you do need it.
