It is difficult to make if u r expert in cross stitching then it is good but for first time maker this is difficult for them

Just finished... it was totally worth the effort!

I have seen a few reviews below saying this is a 'cross stitch' kit. Let me make this clear - this is a really lovely crewel kit, NOT a cross stitch kit. Those reviews have reviewed it poorly, obviously because it wasn't what they expected. I purchased this as an embroidery kit, and I shall review it as an embroidery kit. Printed on Evenweave fabric, this is suitable for any embroiderer, whether you prefer freestyle or not. They provide you with plenty of threads (both stranded cotton and crewel yarn) and a chart detailing which stitches are to be used in which area (but if you like to freestyle, then there's no reason not to swap them for your favourite stitches.) Clear instructions, clear chart, well printed fabric and plenty of yarn. All in all, an excellent kit, just be aware that even though Dimensions is well known for their cross stitch kits, you are buying an embroidery kit.

Although it is hard going, I am looking forward to seeing the finished product. I am about half way and it looks just like the image. However, I have ran out of two of the colors and still have need of them. I'll have to send for some to finish it, but otherwise, very nice! Like another reviewer, I didn't realize that the pattern repeated for many rows on the bottom page and went on stitching. It took hours to sew, and even longer to un-pick. I have now folded back the repeated rows to make sure I don't do it again! :-) I have tried to contact customer service and my emails keep coming back undelivered. I need more thread to finish the project and now can't get in touch with them. There were two threads short when I got it. (it has strips indicating how many lengths of thread should be attached to each color and I checked them before starting and found it was 2 threads short.) I ran out of the red bundle that highlights the silhouettes. It doesn't say how many should be in the bundle.I have to say that I substituted the fabric that came with it for one with a slightly bigger gauge as I felt I was going blind trying to find the holes for the needle and it was taking forever to do one stitch.The fabric I changed it for is just one gauge larger but made a huge difference to the speed I could sew at! You need excellent eyesight or a magnifying glass to use the fabric it comes with.I have literally hundreds of threads yet not one matches the red in the project. Ho-Hum! Not happy that I can't buy more threads to finish this as it should be. I suppose I'll just have to use threads as close a match as I can find in my box!

Arrived promptly. Exactly as I expected with one proviso: I do not like the threads used - Almost everyone else internationally uses DMC and I found that these threads do not have the same sheen and also they seem to knot more easily. Also, with DMC it is simple to buy extra thread at a local supplier instead of having to wait for more to be sent. Still a gorgeous design.

My sister is a cardinal lover, so I purchased this item to complete for her by Christmas. When I saw the picture of it, I didn't realize there was so much white color involved. I started with the cardinals to see the color in the picture, its turning out very well (I'm still working on this item). A little hard on the eyes with all the white to work with, challenging but looking great.I would also recommend this item to anyone, directions are good, but I will say it again - its a challenging item.

Dimensions did it again. This is such a pretty piece. I think it has a wonderful three dimension look to it. I really enjoyed working on this kit. The kit comes with everything you need from start to finish. All I can say is make the purchase it is well worth your money and time to complete it. I would purchase this kit again. I just love it.
