perfect fit
This was a perfect replacement for a 2001 GMC 1500

Not as good as original
Cap fits my 2000 GMC 2500 ok. The collar does spin but after two revolutions it binds and you have to use 2 hands to close. I'm betting it would last as long as the original (23 years)

Quick fix
If you have the patience to wait and the product arrives, it take less than 5 minutes to install. By the way, my engine light went off after the new cap, so make sure you check this before going to the dealer and possibly spending hundreds to thousands on something not needed or necessary.
