Interesting analitical part, but very poor conclusions.

A very comprehensive and balanced account of what is perhaps the most heinous and inexplicable actions taken in the name of someone's God. I am sickened by the fact that our world leaders have allowed this to happen. I will encourage others to read this exhaustive appraisal of facts on the ground. ISIS is truly a "Thrill-kill Cult!

Should be required reading for everyone in high political office in the Western World

I consider this one of the most important books of the 21st century. The scholarship is mind-blowing in its depth. Nance not only goes through all the historical evolution of ISIS and its structure but its operational techniques. I found the section on ISIS use of the media particularly prescient in terms of the psychological as well as the technical aspects of their campaign.Most interesting is the final section of this work wherein Nance goes beyond military victory to propose a Middle-East Marshal-Plan to rebuild Syria for a democratic future. The plan is wonderfully thorough and filled with optimism. I so hope that Nance is right and the powers that be will come together, do the right thing and make it a reality. My greatest fear is that when the fighting ends, Nance will be confronted by the same situation faced by T.E. Lawrence at the end of World War One -- that arabs tend to fight rather than cooperate..

This is an incredible narrative by Malcolm Nance, who has done a detailed study on this horrific cult that is plaguing our world.I had to leave the book at almost 60% completion because i could not withstand the harshness of honesty this book has to offer.Malcolm Nance, take a bow!!People should read this as much as they can, to be aware of what our law enforcement is fighting.I hope and pray for a terrorism free world (sooner than later!!)
