The media could not be loaded. I had to do a lot of measurements to make a floor plan on a metal building and this was a huge Time Saver. Instead of trying to have someone hold a tape or get a really long tape or using a measuring wheel which can be a little inaccurate and time-consuming I just put this against the wall and push the button. I was able to get the window dimensions, the building length, and the square footage feature is an awesome feature of this thing. I used a measuring tape to check its accuracy and it is indeed accurate. Absolutely love it.

I am a public adjuster and use devices like this on a regular basis. I needed a new one and wanted to give this one a try. So far, in my testing is has proven to be just as accurate as much more expensive versions. Personally, I would like to see the buttons with English instructions as opposed to universal icons. But, once I get used to the icons and functions, it will be fine.

This works great indoors, but I consistently got an error message (ERR 16 – signal too weak) for anything over 30 feet outside. Considering that this advertises itself as having a longer range than other similar products on Amazon, I knocked it down to 3 stars for that. One other thing to note, like most similar products, this will provide measurements in meters, feet, or inches (15.76 feet, 232 inches, etc), but won’t give you a reading in feet and inches so you will be doing some math in your head if you are using imperial measurements.

I have been using these since the very first ones, that actually used the exact same sensor as the early Polaroid SX-70 autofocus cameras. Those cameras came out in the 70’s, but I don’t think the distance measurement devices came out until the mid, or late 80’s. They were convenient, but not extremely accurate. The newer laser refraction devices changed the game. This one is very accurate, and I tested it with a pro unit that originally cost about ten times the price. This was spot on. The pro ones have come down in price, but this one works just as well. You can use these for many things besides what a professional contractor uses it for. If you like DIY projects, such as work around the home, these things blow away tape measures. If you are reading this, you probably know if you need one, and if you do, this one works great.

My buddy and I used this to measure out an oval Koi pond and had the opportunity to test it against a pro-grade laser that costs laterality 10+ x the price. We were both absolutely amazed at how accurate it was and how easy to use. I bit surprised by the low price point.This is true with the overall build quality as well and I like how the edges are rubberized which makes it nice to hold when wet as well as protect when it gets dropped. I do wish there would have been 1/4 x 20 inch threads somewhere for a tripod mounts but still worthy of all 5 stars.

Have always wanted these for work around the house and renovation. I checked all the laser measurements with a tape measure as well and it is a very accurate measurement device. It's easy to use, looks good, and it's well built. Definitely glad I bought it and would buy it again definitely for this good price.

It is very easy to and it gets the job done the only thing I don't like about it is that it only reads in meters and there isn't an option to change it to inches
