You can use your own coffee!
Works well if you don’t put too much coffee in the capsule. I tried a different brand of refillable capsules that were a disaster and returned them. Refilling used capsules is a money saver. Works well with my Nespresso virtuo machine. I’ve made espresso and regular cups of coffee. As far as ai know you can reuse any size capsule and fill it with your favorite. The machine has a laser reading function that tells it how much to brew. It’s on the capsule around the edge.

Eco-friendly and cost-effective
Reusable coffee pod lids offer an eco-friendly, cost-effective alternative to disposable ones, letting you use your preferred ground coffee. They are generally easy to apply and seal well to prevent grounds from escaping, though some can be finicky to align, and they require occasional cleaning.

Unfortunately this did not work for me.
Great idea but this solution is a dud. Don't waste your money. First issue I had is the razor they provide to cut out the top of a used Nespresso pod. After extending it to cut off the top it will not retract. Not interested in having an open razor in the drawer. I was able to make a few cups of coffee using the tops on a used pod. The coffee felt like I was sifting grinds thru my teeth. The covers stayed on tight and were even tricky to take off after so I had a good seal but the coffee grinds must just release during brewing which is not a problem with the Nespresso pods. Really disappointed as I have used a Kuering replacement for the pods for years which saved a ton of money. With the Nespresso pods costing $1.40 apiece I wish there was a better solution than this failed attempt.

They work, but Nespresso coffee can't be beat
Pleasantly surprised they work in my Vertuo machine. That said, even with Peet's freshly-ground dark roast beans, the coffee these re-usable lids produce is half as good as Nespresso capsules at best. It does magically create the lovely crema, but not as dense as the Nespresso coffee. This is a good solution for those unfortunate moments when I run out of Nespresso capsules and much more economical, but at under a buck fifty for genuine Nespresso, it's still the better way to go.

Reusable topper
I had been using the foils but found I needed to clean my machine frequently If nespresso made an illy coffee pod I would buy it That not being the case I need to fill my own These have worked great so far I’ve made a dozen or so cups so far and each turned out perfect - I also have tried the silicone toppers and have found they fall short This topper is superior

Definitely not a “before work” type of thing…
*Before I start, I want to say this is an initial review.* I tried it today, and there is definitely a learning curve for these. They DO work…are they practical, like another (obviously paid)reviewer says? NO. Not even close to being practical, in fact they are impractical. Like i said they do work, but it’s very involved. If you get the pod you’re reusing from previous use lid cut off perfectly, clean it out perfectly, then technically you can just keep reusing that one - except it’s thin aluminum, so very fragile. I recommend having a few ready to use…That being said, if you have regular coffee grounds, well you’re just going to have to put them into your coffee grinder because the grounds must be super fine. Like almost a powder. Or maybe try instant coffee grounds? I haven’t tried that one yet, but I feel like instant coffee defeats the purpose of having a mid to high end espresso machine…Then you have to get the amount of grounds you put in right, or the lid will not secure properly. The lid fits nicely if you don’t overfill the pod, but you also cannot under fill the pod as the coffee will be terrible, and weak. I guess I am going to have to keep trying until I get it perfected. Definitely not an out of the box game changer. I’ll come back after some time and give an update. Until then, just based on whether The lids work, I would recommend giving it a try, in time I could see these being worth it. 3 stars for now, but to be continued…

So simple, but so worth it! COST SAVER!!
Works great!!! And what a money saver. I had several lbs of coffee grinds left over from the holidays that were given as gifts, left behind from parties, etc. They always end up sitting on a shelf in the pantry unused....but this gadget allows me to make my own Nespresso using coffee grinds I already have. As long as you don't overfill it, it works great!

Stickers work better and easier
I had high hopes for this product. I had read reviews saying people struggled to get these to stay on and work in the machine so I took a Saturday to figure it out. Eventually I got it to stay on a capsule but it would not run in the machine. I probably spent an hour or so trying to figures these kids out. I have had much more success with the stickers for used capsules instead of this product.

Machine kept failing with these lids , had to go back to the aluminium disposable lids. Tried to get and refund as did not get a single lid to work. When I asked for refund amazon said it was a grocery item therefore NOT refundable. Expensive waste of money.

This is a perfect product for your N'Espresso Virtuo machine!! Easy to use and works perfectly with N'Espresso Virtuo machines. Some notes: This product is only the top sealer not the bottom container holding the coffee. The coffee volume per serving is determined by the virtuo capsules. For instance if you have "espresso" size capsules you will only get 40ml of coffee. To get various size servings you will need to purchase various size virtuo capsules. Other than that the product works perfectly, no leaks, cleanup is easy and with this product you can experiment with various coffees not offered via the N'Espresso product line, not to mention the cost savings and recycling convenience.

These pods sort of work, but ruin your coffee maker due to the amount of grounds that get into the works. Tried the cleaning cycle multiple times but still doesn't work anymore. Had to buy a new coffee maker ( $200 Canadian) Avoid these pods at all cost and use the foil tops instead. These work like the maker intended. As well $30 Canadian for a couple little pieces of plastic worth 5 cents is ridiculous and a rip off.

The plastic caps do the job well, WHEN they work. Once in a while the machine will not accept the way we packed the pods with the plastic lids on top I'm still not sure if we make it too full or grind the coffee too small. It almost seems like the holes on the lids are so small that the grinds may get stuck in them and the machine can't push enough liquid through and stops brewing half way to through. This doesn't happen a lot but is something that might wear out the machine faster. Also because the lids go inside the pods there's less room for coffee which results in less strong coffee. We've tried the aluminum lids the favor is more strong from that coffee.
