Good Stuff!
The only thing I don't like is that the dielectric does not like to slide off of the center conductor easily.

The real stuff!
As advertised. Tinned braided shield and tinned stranded center conductor. Not cheap aluminized Mylar shield with sparce braid.

Nicest RG-58 A/U
This is the nicest RG-58 I have used in a long time. The center conductor, which is stranded, is beefy and I had full confidence that it made the proper connection. I had no trouble crimping it on to connectors and using crimp ring terminals.I have two points of criticism. One is from the packaging. The coax was wound without the proper twist, and it does not unwind properly. You will have to unroll the tight coil and untwist it to make it stop kinking. Proper cable wrapping uses the "over under" method to average out to no twist. My second criticism point is about the jacket material. In all of three cases where I put a heat-shrink jacket over the coax, the jacket of the coax began to melt. This is not something I have seen when using low heat on heat-shrink tubing (I have one of those wimpy low-heat guns that you hold like a pencil). So this coax might not be suitable for areas that can get super hot, such as running through an engine firewall or near an exhaust system. Probably just fine in the shack though.
