Great for a broken ankle
This cushion is amazing and has made an enormous difference to managing my fractured fibula. I was struggling just propping foot up on pillows but they compress eventually. This cushion is sturdy but slightly soft too, the fabric cover is comfortable and can easily be unzipped for washing. I am using this cushion every day to keep my lower leg elevated. There is enough space to have have both legs on it together and I have used it every night since delivery too to keep my legs in position when sleeping. The raised edges are really helpful to pack a scarf around my foot and keep it immobilised and when using ice packs to reduce swelling. The loops at the front are super helpful to adjust the position too.

Well worth using if you suffer sore heels and calves
Assisted me in sleeping better as I have to sleep sitting up and my heels get sore, now this is a problem of the past

Very firm
This is very firm and will support all body sizes only problem is being small 5foot 2 ,it elevates my legs slightly too high . But it is very supportive

Does the job perfectly
Purchased this to aid recovery from a foot operation. Comfortable and easy to use with pull up handles to secure position and a side carry handle. A velvety plush cover that is machine washable. Slightly more expensive than other cushions on the market but is of a higher quality. Arrives vacu-packed but soon springs into shape. Am very happy with purchase.

Too firm, for back-sleepers only but only if tall enough; needs a larger bed than a single
The "Leg Elevation Pillow, LightEase Memory Foam Leg Elevating Support Wedge Pillow for Sleeping, Reading, Rest, Surgery, Injury, Relieve Back Hip Knee Pain, Improve Blood Circulation, Reduce Swelling" is known from a similar device used in hospitals specifically after a relative's knee-replacement surgery but also for other purposes including relief from oedema and other lower-limb swelling. Oedema-relief was the specific reason for its purchase.Supplied rolled and very compressed, it needed to be fully unpacked and allowed time to expand and fill its case; it hadn't quite after some 48 hours or more. The covering is microfibre with a slight velvety feel but there is one corner at the far end where the fit is loose and that affects its appearance. It was about 90% expanded after 6-7 hours and maxed-out several hours later so the 24-hour suggested wait time is reasonable. The pillow was briefly test-used for about 30 minutes at the 6-7 hour stage and was then considered comfortable. When fully expanded, it became rock-hard with a poor match for personal height (now about 5'3 ins) and zero comfort. The intention is that the calf muscle rests in the depression with the foot and ankle hanging over the far end but that was never completely possible. It was known from the outset that greatest benefit will be gained by back sleepers who would need to be of a certain height but it was hoped that it would be personally usable and comfortable. Never a back sleeper since early childhood, sleep was denied during the nights when used and it was impossible to modify position whereby any degree of comfort became possible; changes only worsened the situation - it was used until 'waking' on the first night and removed after about 4½ hours on the second when some rest was possible for a few hours, but not sleep, but later spent most of the day zombie-like after two sleepless nights!Even after hours of use the relief from oedema was at best very slight, none at all on Night One, and not much better on the second and then only while prone. Leg positioning may have not been perfect but its extreme firmness may have placed pressure on circulation rather than ease it and the drainage of surplus fluid. Under no circumstances was it considered effective. Because of its width and height, it would probably work better on a double bed or larger; on a single there is little room. Instructions and usage information, recommendations etc are almost non-existent.The pillow may have a purpose for daytime naps etc but to sleep with it is an impossibility. While willing to pay its price if it delivered to expectation, it was deemed expensive and surplus to requirements when it failed to deliver and was considered unlikely to deliver comfort or the expected degree of reduction in swelling were it used for another week or two and was therefore returned.
