It can help you understand the environment and do better
I just used this in a new job offer negotiation and got a 5K salary increase, a PTO increase, and more. Some of the ideas in here are basic negotiation rules, but most are targeted to the salary/compensation arena and are explained well. The execution is up to you!

Helpful Even For a Novice Negotiator
I bought this book to help with negotiating salary for a new job. It has some helpful concepts which can be used even without a lot of negotiating experience. Some of the concepts feel contrived; I guess the value of negotiating experience is knowing which tactics to use in which situations.

Nice book
Has something for everyone, from ametures to experts. I am glad i bought this book before negotiating for my new job. It prepared me to push for that extra dollar on the table. I am very pleased.
