Cafe Altura Ground Organic Coffee, Dark Roast, 12 Ounce (Pack of 3)

Found this in the Dominican Republic and am able to get it shipped to the United States. Pricey but worth it.Can get it ground or beans, regular or decaf. Anyway you want. It’s just plain good coffee

I gave this two stars because I have known this company for a very long time and I appreciate that they are offering an organic canned coffee. However.... This is terrible tasting coffee. It is very acidic and it's hard to get through a cup. The coffee flavor is missing or hidden by the acidity. I'm sorry that this good company has gone downhill with this product and sorry that I now have three cans of it!!

I have used Café Altura since 1980. This coffee is perfect for my taste of organic coffee, not too strong. I use to buy the 5# bag of beans and grind my own in the 80's and 90's, but I am not drinking as much coffee as in earlier years. The ground can coffee suits me well now that I am in my senior years. This coffee company is the first organic coffee company before Starbucks. I can attest to that as a fact.

I love this coffee. I rarely drink any other beverage apart from water. I make it just the way I like it and wouldn't change it for the world!

I feel terrible that I purchased this coffee. I bought a 3 pack each of the dark roast and regular roast so I can avoid the stores. I cracked open the can of dark roast and it hissed. I was thinking, this is a great sign. I made a pot and it was awful. I cleaned the coffee maker and filter and made another pot. There was no difference, it tasted really bad. I made another pot with 1.5 tablespoons of coffee per 6 oz and it was really bad. I made the regular roast and it was barely drinkable. It tastes like mushrooms and has no distinct flavor that hits “oh that’s good”. The flavor profile is almost like someone throw a bunch of bean regions together some old and some new. Yuck.I will give it to a shelter, but now I will feel bad for them.

My husband and I love this coffee. We discovered it while shopping at Sprouts, we just grabbed it because we wanted to try something new. It has a wonderful, bold flavor, and it's really smooth. I usually like Americanos from Starbucks and I think that the flavor of this coffee is nice and clean, just like an Americano. I think it's about 12-13 dollars a can when its not on sale at Sprouts so we started buying the 3-pack on here and we save a few bucks. It's also an organic coffee so that's a plus! I recommend this coffee to so many people, I think everyone should try it.

This was recommended at Debbies Health Food stores in Orange City FL to my husband that has pancreatic cancer.
