Looks great
Have use this product before with posts for cable railing on our deck. They're sturdy, solid, and look good.

Fast shipping. great product as advertised.
putting 4x4 post in them and adding white j hooks and black decorative fence around them to keep the deer out of my wifes rose garden

Sturdy
A little too small for a 4x4 post to fit inside. After trimming the bottom of the post about 1/4” with a chisel it fit like a glove and it held the post very well. It was worth it for me. Would buy again unless something better comes along.

Would Not Fit Over 4x4
I bought this to install a hand rail on my mother's deck. She is in her early 80's and her balance is not always what it should be. I ordered 2 of these items and bought the 4x4 posts at the local hardware store. The item would not fit over the post. It would stop right where the opening meets the start of the post edge and go no further. I even tried to use a hammer, but no luck. The opening needs to be slightly bigger. Since the posts were new, they had not had time to sit outside to allow the internal moisture to evaporate. The need for the hand rail was critical and I could not wait a few days to see if the posts would shrink some after sitting outside. If you buy this item, I recommend letting your post sit a few days in the sun to allow for as much moisture to evaporate as possible.
